Autumn Tri-Shutter - Autumn is the challenge at Craft Your Days Away this fortnight. We are sponsored by Heartsong Designs. I used their Thistle image to make this tri-shutter card. I colored the thistle with Copics and put some Stickles on the butterfly. I used a Spell binders to cut the image and lots of red brick and Walnut stain distress inks.

My DP's are from a pack that I picked up at Big Lots. They repackage them, so I don't know the maker.

I used a variety of flowers. The dark blue ones I made using my Cricut and the wet and ball method. The red one was a silk flower with I added a gemstone brad with. The small orange flowers are by Making Memories, as is the clear leaves. I wrapped a blue wire around a small paint brush and the blue pearl spray was airbrushed with Copic's.
I used 4 gemstone butterflies for the small folds. The butterflies are a MS punch and then Dew Drops were added to them.
I used a couple of charms to dangle from the top fold. I also used a Maya Road chipboard key that I sprayed with Maya Roads Mist. I added some of my Favorite gemstones to the key.

Autumn Ribbon

Autumn Ribbon - This week's challenge at Sew Many Challenges is a color challenge-Burnt orange, yellow and brown. I used Sew Many Cards pumpkin image. I colored this image last year in creams and I must say that I really enjoy coloring this image. It is so easy and it really is all about the depth, and it is just nice to focus on using dark and light color to create depth without having to worry about contrasting colors.

I colored the image with Copics and can you believe I didn't add any Stickles to it. :P The image was cut with a Spell Binders, as was the mat behind it. My DP is Cloud 9. I used a MS punch and added some bronze pearls with my Viva Decor pearl pen.
The flowers were cut with my Cricut using the new flower shoppe cartridge. I shaped them and added some Stickles (you knew I would get Stickles in there some where, didn't you?)
My second card used Duncan with Ribbon which is the newest dollar deal at Sew Many Cards. This image was designed with Breast Cancer Awareness in mind, but many organizations use different colored ribbons to bring attention to there cause. Teal had a lot of causes, everything from Anti-bulling to Ovarian Cancer. I found a great site that listed some different ribbon colors and what they represent. You can see that list here.

My DP is My Minds Eye, kaleidoscope. I used another MS punch and the same Spell Binder die as above to cut my image. I used my white pearl pen on this card, but the paper was thinner and it flattened more than I would have liked. I used it also on the flower (Petaloo) centers and it stayed in the dome shape better.
