Going Dotty

Going Dotty - At One Stop Craft Challenge, our challenge this week is DOTS and SPOTS. We are sponsored by Bearly Mine.

I have covered the face of this little cutie, but I wish you could see it. He has frosting all over his nose.

I started with some papers by Imagination. I actually used 2 sheets. I cut the boat and helicopter out, added some fine glitter on the red parts and pop dotted them up.

My swirls are a MD die. I added some frosted pearls on the tips.

Pretty in Pink

Pretty in Pink - At One Stop Craft Challenge, we are looking for projects in pastels! This is my DT card.

My DP is The Paper Studio. This DP was one of the first paper blocks that I bought. I have used it so much and have lots of it in my scrap drawers.

My image is Rory, by our sponsor Ellephantastic. I know that this is a boy image, but I thought this could be a girl with scruffy hair.

When I was in High School, I used to be an aide in a Sunday School class of 5 year olds. We had one little girl who always came dressed to the max in pink ruffles and at Easter she even had white gloves, but she was a Tom boy and would be wrestling with the boys every week. This little Rory could be a Rosy, who like that little girl is just ruff and tumble; no matter how much pink she wears or how many bows are in her hair.

Rory/Rosy is colored with Copics and I added some Stickles to the trim on her shirt.

My border is a MS punch, the sentiment is SU and I finished it off with gemstones.

Simple Flower

Simple Flower - Today's challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge is no designer paper. I used a simple flower stamp by Hampton Arts. I inked the top part of the stamp with Broken China distress ink and the leave/stem area with Peeled Paint distress ink and stamped it several times to make my "designer paper."

I stamped the flower one time with Memento ink and colored it with Copics.

My sentiment and punches are SU.

I colored her with Copics.

My DP is Recollections. The punches and sentiment are SU.

Birds

Birds - Today at One Stop Craft Challenge we have everyone's favorite challenge - Anything Goes!!!!

I made these sweet little stick pins and holders for a stick pin swat at CDAC. I had to make 8 for it, this time. Our theme is summertime. I thought of these sweet little birds flying around the flowers.

The sweet little charm is Shrink Art using Darcie's Vintage Trinkets. Darcie has done all the work. I just printed out the charms that I wanted. Then cut them out, punched out a jump ring hole and shrunk. The hard part was adding the jump rings.

The "card" is another of the clip art images. The colors are soft because the color intensives when shrunk. But this time I was printing on cardstock, so they are soft colors. The bird is another image on the CD. I cut around them and stacked 2 foam pop-ups and pushed the bins through them.

The stick pin with the blue crystal head, I bought at Pizzazz Aplenty. Judy has the best choice of stick pins that I have seen. Her prices are really good and she even ships overseas.

The fun part is picking beads. It is amazing how many beads there is on the market. My DDIL gave me some of these beads for Christmas.

Lights

Lights - I thought it was time to start making my Christmas cards and this challenge for my DT card at One Stop Craft Challenge was a good opportunity. The challenge this week is tags. Tags always scream Christmas to me.

We are sponsored by Fred, She Said and I choose this sweet, pre-colored image to work with. I started to get it uncolored, but I couldn't imagine it colored any prettier then they have colored her. Plus it is just nice to get a break from coloring once in a while.

I did add Diamond Glaze to the lights and Stickles to the scarf. I added some red bakers twine to the bottom of the image.

My DP is K and Company's Let it Snow.

I added a few holly leaves.

Here are my 3 tags. The poinsettia is a SB. I shaped the poinsettia with Sizzix Susan's Garden tool kit. The center is made using my Viva Decor pearl pen in Kiwi.

Up, Up and Away

Up, Up and Away - Here is my DT card for One Stop Craft Challenge. Our challenge this week is "for a friend." We are sponsored by Pattie's Creations.

My image is one of Patties and it is entitled "PB Allie Balloon." Riding in a hot air balloon was on my bucket list and last spring, I had a chance to do it at the Wild Animal Park in San Deigo. I took 3 year old, Jace and 18 month old, Cal. It was tethered, so not so much of an adventure, but I really enjoyed it.

I colored PB Allie Balloon with Copics and added Stickles to some of stripes in the balloon.

My sentiment is Dream Weavers and was punched with a SU ticket punch. The die cut is SB.

My DP is Summer Soul by Fancy Pants Designs.

Drum Roll

Drum Roll - Please - It is time for a new challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge and this weeks challenge is everyone's favorite - anything goes!

We are sponsored by the awesome Kenny K Downloads.

My Designer papers are Kaiser Craft Jungle Bug Collection. I like the bright colors in the pad.

My image is Kenny K's Anime Drummer. My brother, Don, recently took up the drums and this image made me think of him. I will be sending this card to him.

I colored him with Copics. I stamped a little star collage from Hot Off the Press around the image, then roughed up all my papers with my Zutter Distrezz machine. It distresses everything really quick.

My stars are a QuicKuts die.

Cupcake Fairy

Cupcake Fairy - Today's challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge is glitter. A product that I use on almost all my cards.

Case in point - I got my images confused and I actually did this card thinking it was the sponsor's image from 2 weeks ago. That challenge was buttons and bows. You can see that I had lots of buttons. When I went to post this card, I seen that everyone else had used a different sponsors image and I had to check things out and to my horror, I had confused my images. But as you can see, my glitter on this was very useful and I am glad that I did not have to make any changes to it, in order for it to work for this challenge!

Our sponsor is Milk and Cookies. This little fairy is so cute!! I really love her cupcake. I colored Fiona and cupcake with Copics and added Stickles to her wings and the sprinkles on the cupcake. I also put a pearl in the center of the flower in her hair.

My DP is Kaiser Craft, Miss Nelly.

The image and frame were cut with a SB, then I added buttons around the frame.

My sentiment is SU. The 2 punches for the sentiment are also SU.

I finished off my card with one of my favorite embellishments - a stick pin.

Techniques Book

Techniques Book - Today's challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge is flowers. We are sponsored by Bearly Mine.

I crop with a group of friends every Wednesday and we made these technique books, to hold some samples of some techniques that we were interested in.

Milly made the book covers and then we each decorated our own books.

I used some precolored digi stamps by Bearly Mine for my book All I did was print them out, cut them, shape them and stack them using a flocked brad to hold them together. I can get this Bearly Mine freebie here.

When I look at this photo, I see a busy mess; but in real life, it is more defined.

Besides the flowers, I used some colored wire that I coiled. Some black leaves that were cut with a SB and then shaped. I also added a bit of black tulle, a black bow and a brown stick pin. I really enjoy making stick pins and love using them.

Milly printed out the words and even inked them for us. Isn't she the best friend ever?

I added a Recollections gemstone swirl.

I added a bunch of ribbons and yarn to the rings.

This is the inside of the books. You can pull the pages out of the pockets. Milly has some techniques in her technique book, but I had missed going the previous week, when everyone else put their books together.
