Sketchy Jaden

Sketchy Jaden - One project and two teams!!! Yep, today Seems a Little Sketchy and Sew Many Challenges teamed up to bring you 2 chances to win using 1 sketch.

We have 2 sponsors for this challenge, Sew Many Cards for both Sew Many Challenges and Seems a Little Sketchy and Pizzazz APlenty also for Seems a Little Sketchy.
Sew Many Cards has the most delightful images and Pizzazz Aplenty has supplies for bead making at the best prices around. She even ships internationally.

My image is Sew Many Card's, Jaden with butterfly. I have colored him several times, as he is a favorite on mine.

Here is the sketch. Isn't it lovely? Jen from Seems a Little Sketchy designs all of the sketches for Seems a Little Sketchy and she always does such a nice job.
For my card, I used Pressed Petals, Little Safari designer papers. My gemstone swirl is Want 2 Scrap.
Many of my stick pin beads are from Pizzazz Aplenty. I participated in a stick pin swap and I have become quite addicted to making them. And with the prices being so good at Pizzazz Aplenty, I can feed my addiction and my husband will testify that I do feed it quite frequently.

My ribbon is also from Pizzazz Aplenty. This shade is called goldenrod and I love the depth of the color

Punchy Duck

Punchy Duck - Ah oh! Duncan is getting rained on, but he doesn't mind. Just look at his fun umbrella. I wish I had an umbrella that made such a fashion statement.
My design papers and twill ribbon are from Autumn Leaves, foof-a-la Summer page kit. I really like the paper, but unfortunately very little of it shows. The DP was inked with brick red distress inks. As was the image. I used a MS punch around the page set.
Here is a close-up of Sew Many Cards, Duncan. He is colored with Copic's. I used Judykins Diamond Glaze, then poured an ultra fine glitter on the rain and puddle. Next time I will make sure that I have a thinner layer of Diamond Glaze. But it would have been perfect if I had been trying to get the puddle to look frozen.
My flowers are a stem that I cut off and tied with a narrow ribbon.
The challenge at Sew Many Challenges is Punches, do come on and get punchy with us.

Owl Thanks

Owl Thanks - We are back for another challenge at Sew Many Challenges. Don't you just love that name Sew Many Challenges? It is the challenge site for Sew Many Cards digi images. Angela is the creative artist behind the images.

For my card, I used Stampin up's paper. I tried to find the name of the paper, but it is not on the package. I roughed up all the paper with my Tim Holtz distressing tool. I also inked the DP with Tea Dye distress ink prior to using the distressing tool. I used a MS punch for the blue border and I used stampin ups fancy label punch for the tabs. I also roughed up the tabs a little then added 2 flower brads.
My "leaves" are feathers that came in this Olive color. My flower is a stem that I plucked and added a rose to the center.

My image is Sew Many Cards Oliver. I have done him quite a few times, but I love this image so much that I just keep using him. My favorite was when I colored him as a snow owl.

Our challenge for this week at Sew Many Challenges is 2 designers paper plus 4 gems. I had finished my card and had completely forgotten the gemstone, so I had to go back and add them. LOL Sometimes I just so into my project and creating, that I forget all about the challenge that I am making it for. I am just glad that this was one that I could easily add the challenge component. I have had to make a completely new project a few times.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Toga's Party

Toga's Party - Don't you just love this little party animal? This card makes me feel cheerful and ready to attend a birthday party.

If you are here for the hop and you came from Deanette's awesome blog, then you are on track.

We are showcasing the new release by Sew Many Cards. I was given Toga's birthday to work with. Isn't he the cutest? When you buy this image, you get it in black lines AND in fully colored as well. It also comes with the colored images in pieces, so that you can paper piece it and get all those wonderful layers.

One lucky person who leaves a comment on my post will receive this image for their very own. Doesn't that sound great?

Now for the details of my card. My DP is MME's Kaleidoscope. I love the yummy colors! I have had this pad for about 7 years. Even though I have used it alot, I still have a lot of it left, so it is a good thing that I like it so much.
The challenge this week is buttons, so I have used 3 on my card.
Toga with this delightful ladybug, is colored with Copic's and I uses Stickles on the gift bows, the ladybugs spots and the center of the turtles flowers. My sentiment is Hot Off the Press.
My second card uses this months 1/2 off image. It is Duncan holding Letter. You can get it at Sew Many Cards.
I used a scrap piece of paper and I have no idea who makes it. I used a couple of flower shaped eyelet. My heart border is a MS punch. The heart I cut with my Cricut. I added some baker's twine to the card. Everything was distress with Ranger's Worn Lipstick distress inks.
Duncan is colored with Copic's and I added Stickles to Duncans heart on his shirt and envolope. I also added some Stickles to the die cut heart.
Next on the hop is Audrey. So leave a comment here, then head over to Audrey's blog.

Pastel Love

Pastel Love - This weeks challenge at Sew Many Challenges is yellow, pink and turquise. I used Sew Many Cards super sweet Bear in the Spring.

My DP is proably a single sheet that I bought eons ago. There is no brand or name on it, so I have no clue as to who made it.
My image is colored with Copics. I added some raspberry fizz ultra fine flower soft on the flower centers, the added some ultra fine glitter on the flowers.
The hearts were punched with Creative Memories heart punches and embossed woth CB script embossing folder. I then added more of the ultra fine glitter to it. The other pink cardstock was embossed with another CB folder with flowers.
The blue card stock was embossed with the same CB folder as the pink. The yellow cardstock came embossed with the tiny tri of dots. The butterfly was punched with a MS punch.
Everything was inked with Victorian velvet distress inks and I used a yellow Viva Decor pearl pen on the butterfly and the 3 corner pearls.

My flowers are all cut from stems. The bow was tied using my Bow Easy.
Did you notice the 3 gemstones? More circles!

My image is Sew Many Cards, Harley. Isn't he a fun image? I colored Harley with Copics, then used a white poster paint pen to make the air bubbles on the water.

I Wuv You

I Wuv You - Sew Many Challenges started back up today and we are all so excited to get back into crafting.

This little Duncan image is one of the new releases for the 2012 Valentine season. Duncan is a favorite critter of many of our loyal fans and I was thrilled to have him assigned to me. I first colored him in teal to match my DP, but to say that it didn't turn out well is an understatement. I much happier coloring in traditional baby duck colors. But I will be trying it again soon, as it is now a challenge for me. LOL

My DP is Magic Scraps Beach pack and kraft cardstock. I added a few tiny eyelets, embossed the corner pieces with CB houndtooth folder and distressed everything in Ranger's Blue Jean ink.

You can get my Duncan image here.
My second card is a critter that is new to Sew Many Cards. Introducing ... Eddie!
Eddie was added to the Sew Many Cards line to help with a EDS (Ehler's-Danlo Syndrome) quest for the cure for Stryder. Stryder's story is a touching one and you can read about his journey here. Purple is the color for his ribbon.
My DP is a scrap that has been in my scrap drawer for quite a while. I no longer remember which paper company made it. I used my new MS punches to make the frame and I used a piece of scrap ribbon.
Eddie is colored with Copic's and I added some Stickles to the dragonfly's wings and the ribbon on Eddie. I also used some Diamond Glaze on Eddie's eyes to make them shiny.
Eddie is free with any purchase at Sew Many Cards starting on the 16th and ending on the 19th. So get 2 cute images for the price of one and help with the quest for the cure!

Round Up

Round Up - I have made this western themed card for this weeks challenge at Sew Many Challenges. Our challenge this week is to use twine on our projects. Well, twine just screams western to me. Do you see my little piece of twine wrapper around my sentiment?

Did you notice the spurs on my DP? It is Portobello Road by Recollections. I found this awesome pad a while back, but this is the first time that I have used it. It is all grays and browns; which is so nice for male cards. I distressed the edges with the distressing tool, then inked with Ranger's Gathered Twigs ink. The image is distressed with Fired Brick. My Sentiment is from The Paper Studio.
My image is from the Cowboy accessory pack by Sew Many Cards and colored with Copics.
My second card uses Sew Many Cards Christmas Letter image. It is a freebie! But it is available here only for a short time.
My 7 year old grandson made the DP. It is his real letter to Santa. We had been unable to get him to tell us what he wanted that was reasonable, then I thought to have him "help" me and it worked! Now I know what to get him!
This will be our last challenge of the year at Sew Many Challenges. We will return on January 6 all rested up!

Grace's gift

Grace's Gift - Today I used Sew Many Cards Grace unwrapping Gift. This is a great image to have because she could also be used for a birthday or really any occasion .

Our challenge at Sew Many Challenges is to use Vellum. I love vellum, hardly ever use it. This green piece is one that I dug out of my green scrap drawer. Yes I have a draw for the scraps of several different colors. I have found this is the best system for me.

My DP came out of another of my Scrap drawers - the Christmas scrap paper drawer. I believe it is all Paper Studio. I inked all of the papers with Gathered Twigs distress inks. It is one of the limited editions Rangers inks.

I secured my Vellum with brads in each corner. Grace was colored with Copics. The flowers are Prima

Sew Many Cards dollar deal is this adorable bussel of apples. My DP is K and Company Allgancy. Image colored with Copics.

Jammies

Jammies - Today is the new release blog hop at Sew Many Challenges. If you arrived here from Jamies blog, then you are on the right track. If you happened some other way, you can start the hop at Sew Many Challenges Blog.

You can win the entire new release plus a $15 store voucher, by leaving a comment on the store blog. And if we have more than 50 comments then we will give away a a second set of the new release. You can also win the image that I used by commenting here. So you have 3 chances to win!

Don't faint, but I actually did a page instead of a card. I won this great page kit at a scrapbooking retreat that I attended a year of two back and decided to finially use it. I love the pink and teal together for Christmas. The DP is Bo Bunny - A gift of love - Sweetie Pie Smooch. It had stickers to go with it, so I used those along with 2 tiny brads.

My image is Kiera with Candle. Kiera is one of the PJ Pals. Isn't she adorable? I like her jammies in teal. She is one of the new releases that you could win. If you can't wait and to own it right this minute, then you can purchase her at the store now.

My next project is a card. I used this month's Freebie for my Thanksgiving Card. You can get it at the last stop on the hop.

My DP is American Traditional Designs Recipe Time Fruit. My ribbon is MS. I used a variety of flowers and buttons.

I colored the Cornucopia with Copics and added some Stickles to the rim of the Cornucopia and some of the fruit. I cut the image with a Spellbinders and distressed it with one of Ranger's Autumn Seasonal distress inks. This one is gathered Twiggs. I love the color.

Leave me a comment then head over to Deanette's blog to continue the hop.

Soup Can

Soup Can - This week's challenge at Sew Many Challenges is a sketch challenge. It is a very easy sketch to follow, so I hope that you will join us in this challenge.

For my card, I used Deja Views Timeless collection. My flower is a Petaloo. My image is Eris Nurse. I colored her with Copics, cut her with a Spellbinder and then distressed with Ranger's Tea Dye. The DP was also distressed. My sentiment is from Hot Off The Press. I also used my Bronze Viva Decor pearl pen.
For my second card I used this week's dollar deal. We are still bringing Awareness to breast cancer and their ribbon campaign. You can get the image here.

My DP is Pressed Petals Baby Girl. I used my MS punch around the page set. My image is colored with Copics and everything was distressed with Rangers Peeled Paint. I used my Viva Decor cream pearl pen.
I hope that you will join us in our Sketch challenge at Sew Many Challenges. You don't have to use a Sew Many Cards image, but we really like it when you do.
