Blue Snowflakes

Blue Snowflakes - It is time for a new challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy and I am so excited about this sketch!!!! I love the belly band on it.

My DP's are BoBunny Powder Mountain.

My image is Lacy Sunshine's Snowflake - Quality Control. I colored her with Copics, then added lots of gemstones. I randomly stamped snowflakes with Tumbled Glass distress ink and then used a fine tipped glue (Heartfelt Creations) to add a fine glitter.

The snow flakes behind the image are HC Lacy dies. I cut it in half and mounted it behind the image that was cut with a SB.

I made a stick pin and added it the bow that was tied using my Bow Easy.

Here is a side view, so that you can see all the sparkle.

Love at Christmas

Love at Christmas - Sorry to be late in writing this post. I always schedule my post with my photos, then come back and write the post usually before it goes live, but I have fallen behind. My daughter has been moving into her new home and I am exhausted from that process.

You would not believe how bad my legs hurt. My job was packing up the kitchen and the back of my upper legs is reeling from the constant motion of squatting down to put things in the boxes.

Back to my card, this card is my DT card for Creative Card Crew. Our challenge for this fortnight is Christmas.

We are sponsored by Whiff of Joy and they let us play with some of their adorable images. I colored Henry and his pal with Copics. I inked the edges with Tumbled Glass distress ink. I won a snowflake stamp and stamped it around the edge, then added fine glitter to the fur on Henry's hat and the stamped snowflakes.

The snowflake is a SP die with a gemstone in the centers. The sentiment is SU; as is the corresponding punch.

My designer papers are BoBunny's Powder Mountain.

Joy - Today's challenge at  One Stop Craft Challenge is stripes.

My DP is from a Year Round pad by Moments.

My image is Mother and Child by our sponsor Digi's for Joy. They have some really cute images.

I colored the image with Copics and added Stickles to the baby's swaddling's around his face and to the star.

My poinsettias are SB with Chipper Sapphire ink veins. I used pale yellow pearls in the centers.

My sentiment and punches are SU.

Wreath

Wreath - I love this card and would you believe that it is the easiest that I have done this season?  It also started out as a mistake. We are sponsored by Fred, She Said and when I went to get my image, I mistakenly got the pre-colored images instead of the regular un-colored images. But what a blessing that mistake became. I was out-of-town last week and my daughter, who is a single mother, who takes in foster children, had 2 sick children for me to watch. Needless to say with all of that plus the business of the season, I would not have had time to color for this challenge. But Fred, She Said bailed me out!

This is 2 images, both pre-colored. The first is the wreath and then Winter Birds. I then just added the birds to where I wanted them on the wreath and printed it out on card stock.

After printing, I inked with Spun Sugar distress inks. Then the fun began, I used my Zutter Distrezz-it-all and distressed the edges. With the Zutter, it is a quick process.

My DP is DCWV Tis the Season pad. I inked and ran it through the distresser also. The stick pin I made using a variety of beads.

The puckered ribbon was achieved by placing a strip of score tape across my papers and randomly sticking the ribbon to it. The bow was tied using my Bow Easy.

That's it for me. I hope you will join our distressed challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge.

Bling

Bling  - The challenge for this week at Crafts 4 Eternity is BLING. Isn't that a great challenge?

My papers are unknown. I had just some scraps left and the company name was not on any of the pieces that I had left. The papers were inked with Tea Dye distress inks.

We are sponsored by The Digi Garden and they let me play with this Sweet Little elf named Twinkle. I think that name is the cutest for this little gal.

I colored Twinkle with Copics, then gave her hat and sash some Stickles. The Holly vine behind her is a CL die.

My sentiment is Inkadinkadoo. I stamped it with Memento ink and SU Illuminate, which you can barely see. I used Glitter Glass all around the edge of the card and added tiny gemstones on the points of the diamonds in the paper. I found these tiny gemstones at Pizzazz Aplenty.

I used some Baker's Twine under the large gemstones and tied a tiny bow with it also.

Plaid

Plaid - It is time for another challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy and this fortnight we are sponsored by Kenny K, the place for the best urban images around!

Just look at the great sketch that we have to use this time around. Does it seem side ways to you? Thats because I like to twist and turn my sketchs to help me visualize how it will look. I always forget to turn it back when I am finished. LOL

My DP is Karen Foster Sugerplum Plaid. I have had this paper so long, I don't even remember buying it.

My image is Kenny K's Santa Cookies. Isn't she a doll? I colored her with Copics and added liquid pearls to her fur.
I die cut the image and the "mat" with SB.

I used 2 different embossing folders on this one. The snowflake one is CB and the textile is SU.

I added 3 red gemstones to the bottom.

I  used a red gemstone charm and tied it with a thin sheer ribbon. The gold and red ribbon is tied with a Bow Easy.

That's it for me. I hope you like my card and will come and join our challenge at Seems A Little Sketchy.

Elfin Gift

Elfin Gift - It is time for another sketch challenge at Sunday Sketch and Stamp.  Here is the great sketch.
I must say that I think this is my favorite sketch out of all that we have done. It is so simple, yet carries a big punch, plus it gave me a perfect opportunity to use my new SB grands.

My DP is Me and My Big Ideas, Fantastic Christmas.

My image is The Digi Garden's Present Elf. The Digi Garden is our sponsor and they gave me this image to play with. I colored her with Copics, cut her with a SB, inked with Fired Brick distress inks and added 3 silver pearls.

The holly vine is CL. I tied the bow with my Bow Easy and added a stickpin. I use supplies from Judy at Pizzazz Aplenty for my stickpins. She has the best prices and even shipped overseas.

Pink Friends

Pink Friends - Todays challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge is Christmas Friends. We are sponsored by the talented Krista Smith of Saturated Canary. This image is Jules and was actually a Freebie that I got a while back, when Krista was offering it. If you follow her blog, she has Freebies from time to time.

I took a close-up of my image, but it was blurry and I will be coming home from a vacation as you read this and I did not have time to set up the light box again before I left.

My holly vine is MD holly die and the ornament shaker box is a Recollections sticker.

My DP is Recollections Jolly Holiday. I cut around the trees in the paper. I added cheese cloth under the image.

I stamped around the image with an Inkadinkadoo Peppermint candy image. Not to self, do not use stickles with distress inks.

Wise Men

Wise Men - Today's challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity is to use the colors from the photo inspiration.
I picked up a new Cricut cartridge at Micheal's black Friday sale (actually, I picked up 2) and I thought it would make up  pretty with the colors.

My DP is K and Company's Evergreen.

The first cartridge that I picked up was Quilted Christmas. I used the 3 wisemen from it. I cut them at 5 1/2 inch. I distressed with with Tea Dye and Vintage Photo distress inks.

On the wise man dressed in yellows, I added some trim to his sleeve.

On the one dressed in reds, I added gemstones to his gift.

For the wise man dressed in greens, I added pearls using my pearl pen on his gift.

The North Star was created using my other Black Friday sale cartridge, which is the ribbon and Rosetta cartridge. The rosetta is the one that is a fence. It took 4 of them to make it. I then added a gemstone star to the center.
The tag is a Crafts 4 Eternity digi. I love the distressed shape of this tag. I printed it on gold paper and hand cut it. The font is so pretty.

My ribbon was tied using my Bow Easy and I added a stick pin to the bow.

The photo is my family from last year. My son was missing; as he was in Afghanistan  We are very pleased that he will be able to be in the family photo this year.

Benched

Benched  - Today at Sunday Sketch and Stamp we have a new sketch for  you. This is a very simple one, cause we know how busy everyone is at this time of year!

My DP is Cloud 9, Harvest Holiday.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Robyn's Fetish. I used this cute little pinguin couple from Robyn's Fetish. I colored it with Copic's and added some Stickles to the snow.

The flower is a Tim Holtz die. It made it very easy!
