Watermill in the Fall

Watermill in the Fall - Time for a new challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity. Now is the time to get those last summer beach or watery fall projects in. We want to see a water theme in your project.

My image is HC Outside my Window rubber stamp set. I have colored this up as spring before, but thought it would be fun to do with a fall theme. I like how it came out.

The image was colored with Copics and I used Some summer Flower soft on it.
I thought the colors were more fall then summer...lol

Finished it off with some ribbon and glittery stars.

Hope you come and join the fun at Crafts 4 Eternity!

Chalky Seashore

Chalky Seashore - It is time to have more fun with a new challenge at Creative Card Crew!! We have a great challenge this fortnight - Chalkboard technique. I have been wanting to try one of these for a while and I must say that it is really fun.

My designer papers are Heartfelt Creations, Balmy Breeze

My image is Heartfelt Creations, Sand and Sea Precut Set. I used the lighthouse image and stamped it with versamark, then poured on while embossing powder and heated it up. Next I used some Snow Cap ink and rubbed it around the image a bit to make it looked a bit smudged after inking up all of the edges.

The little anchor was cut from the Balmy Breeze paper. I added a ribbon and some black pearls to finish off my card.

Trellis

Trellis - We are on R at Alphabet Challenge Blog and R is for recycle. This is a card that I had made as a semi-finalist for Heartfelt Creations. I was very disappointed that I did not make the team, but I do really like what I made for them.

My DP is K and Company Nature pad. The papers were inked with Antique Linen and Isced Spruce.

I colored Mystic Hideaway image with Copics. I then fashioned a window that could be opened using the package that a SB die came in. I created a tag to lift the window.

I used a SB die to create the vines. The flowers are another HC SB die that I cut and shaped. The centers have a wire with Flower Soft on them. I shaped them with me fingers and glued using Beacon's 3 in one glue. I was pleased as the glue did not show on the back.

It was a fun image to color.

Here is a side view so that you can see the lifting.

The scrolls are another SB die.

Here you can see the stamped and Flower Soft centers on the flowers.

I added some pearls to the scrolls and at the bottom of the card.

Home Sweet Home

Home Sweet Home - It is time for another challenge at Alphabet Challenge Blog. This fortnight our Letter is H for Handmade flowers.

The photo is of my new house shortly before it was finished. It is hard to believe that I have already lived in it for a year. The adorable little boy is my grandson Tyler standing in front. At first he liked going to see the construction, but towards the end he was not as impressed. He liked it best when it was dirt and a concrete slab. LOL

For my page, I started with a sheet of paper from my favorite paper company K and Company. This was from the Nature pad. The border is SB Fleur De Lis Doily Accents, which was then inked with Forest Moss distress inks. I added little pearls made from my Salmon Viva Decor pearl pen. I found that it was best to form them on a mat and then glue them on the cardstock. On some papers/mats they flatten out. Now that I have found the perfect mat, I form all of mine this way. I had to throw away so many. What is the mat that I use? I use a bright pink one that is for hot glue that I ordered from HSN. I don't get much from there, but a friend pointed it out to me and it has been the best kit. It has finger protectors; so I no longer burn myself on the hot glue gun. Yea!

The letters were made with my Cricut machine using the Elegant Cakes Cartridge. I really like the font on it.

The image is Heartfelt Creations Chateau Gateway. It is a lovely image, but it was huge; so I only used a portion of it. I colored it with Copics. Wood is one of my favorite things to color with Copic's.

My flowers are Heartfelt Creations Vintage Wildflower. They have a matching SB's that cuts the flowers. I Glimmer Misted and shaped the  flowers. I used more of the Viva Decor pearls in the centers. In the larger flower, I used a brad. I also used SB leaves and inked and shaped them.

The green pearls are from a pearl garland that I picked up in the Seasonal shop at Hobby Lobby.

I made the semi-finals for Heartfelt Creations and this is what I made for the final part of the try-outs. I did not make the team. Thank you to everyone who voted for me.
