Blue Snow

Blue Snow - Todays One Stop Craft Challenge is Monochromatic.

I used DCWV The Winter Wonder pack. I love the shades of blue in this pad. Some of the papers, such as the one that is the thin strip behind the bow, has glitter on them.

My image is by our sponsor Meljen. I colored it with Copics and added some Stickles.

Under the image, I used a piece of Cheese cloth. The wired bow was tied using a Bow Easy.

The flower is SB poinsettia die. I cut vellum with the dies, then shaped them with an embossing tool and a soft mat. I finished off the flower with a blue gemstone.

I dug out some snowflake eyelets. It has been forever since I have used eyelets. When I first started paper crafting I used them all the time, so I have plenty of them.

I hope you liked my card and will join in our monochromatic at One Stop Craft Challenge.

All Creatures Great and Small

All Creature Great and Small - That is the challenge this fortnight at Craft Your Days Away. We are sponsored by Meljens artist extraordinaire. Meljen creates the most delightful images, that are always fun to color.

For my card, I used K & Company's Garden paper pad. I love the gorgeous colors in it. K and Company is my favorite paper and the Susan Winget is my favorite of all of K & Company's designers. She uses lots of beautiful, bold yet muted colors. They are so much fun to work with.

My butterfly is felt. I used a strip of paper lace that I added gemstones to.
My image is Meljen's Turtles Friend.  I colored him with Copic's and added Stickles to the spots and butterflies wings.

I am entering this in the following Challenges:

Tweet, Tweet

Tweet, Tweet - Mother's Day already, well actually they celebrate Mother's day early than we do in England. I am the lone Yank (LOL) on Craft Your Days Away, so it is time to do Mother's Day cards. Plus it is always good to be early on our card making.

My DP is Basic Gray's, Cappella. Everything was inked with Forest Moss distress inks. I had some brown lace in my stash, so used it.
My flower is a stem that I trimmed off a bush. I recently bought Spellbinders foliage dies and this was my first chance to use it. I love how it embosses. I recently did a pin swap and this was one of the pins that I made for the love theme swap. The bow was tied with a Bow Easy.
We are sponsored by Meljens and she provided us with this sweet little bird and cage. I colored it with Copics and Spica's. I added Stickles to the leaves and birds wing. The image is cut with Stampin Ups Framelits.

Thanks for stopping by and please visit Meljen our sponsor.

Turkey Bowl

Turkey Bowl - This fortnight's challenge at Craft Your Days Away is to make a tag. We are sponsored by Meljen's.
Meljen makes some really delightful images. They are real fun and so easy to use.

For my tag, I used Meljen's Turkey Bowl image. For my friends from abroad the turkey bowl is an American tradition. Many of you know that we traditionally serve turkey on Thanksgiving, but we have another tradition which is that we always have a major football game also on that day. That game is referred to as the turkey bowl. I love that Meljen used the play on words by putting a turkey in a bowl for this image. It made me chuckle the first time I heard it.

For my tag, I colored my image with Copic's and put some Stickles on the tail feathers. I used Rangers distress ink in several different colors to add color to the tag. I dangled some teardrop charms from the bottom.
