Ski Resort

Ski Resort - Already time to start those holiday cards and projects, so now is excuse as that is our challenge for you at Creative Card Crew.

DP is BoBunny's Altitude.

We are sponsored by the fabulous Kenny K Downloads and this is one of his images. I colored my image with Copics and added glossy accents to the ski lift and the lens on her glasses.

My sentiments frame is SP and I used winter white sheen embossing powder.
It doesn't show in the photo, but in real life it really sparkles.

My die cuts are MB.

Fast Rollin

Fast Rollin - Time for a new sketch at Seems a Little Sketchy. This challenge is sponsored by Kenny K Downloads.

I flipped the sketch for this challenge.

My designer papers are Doodlebug Design Inc, Day to Day.

My image is Kenny K Downloads, Airborne. He is such a great image. I love the position of the hands.

I colored Airborne with Copics and then added Stickles to the side edge of the skateboard and his helmet. I think even boys would wear a sparkly helmet.

My sentiment is Studio G and I used 2 SU punches on it.

Here you can see the dimension between the layers. You can also see the 3 brown pearls I created using a pearl pen. The brown always flattens more than I like. The other colors don't do that, so I am not sure why the brown does.

This card is a slider card. Here the image is in the down position and below it is up. Some little boy is going to love playing with this.

Soccer

Soccer - It is time for a new challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity and are sponsored by Stamping All Day. Our challenge this week is Sports! Isn't that a fun challenge. Lately a lot of challenges have been masculine. While we tend to think in masculine terms when we think of sports, many girls also play sports. I think we tend to think of masculine, but let's face it, we don't have as many choices when we think of masculine cards.

My image is Kenny K's Anime Soccer. I colored him with Copic's. I did the background using a color wash. I love the technique. It is very quick and easy to do. I just color the back ground in, then use a water brush filled with colorless blender and soak the whole thing.

My DP is Fancy Pant's Little Sport. I won the twine. I am not real sure as to what it is used for. It is kink of waxy. It was a great color for this paper.

I punched the soccer balled from the DP and added a solid background off centered to the balls that were popped up.

Rocker Chick

Rocker Chick - Today's challenge at Creative Card Crew is music!!! Kenny K Downloads has such great images for this challenge. I could not resist using this Rock Chick. Isn't she adorable?

I went with a center step card for my design. I love the fun folds in this style.
My designer paper is KaiserCraft, inked with distress ink. I believe I used Gathered Twigs, but I can't remember for sure.

I colored Rock Chick with Copic's and gave her guitar lots of sparkle with Stickles.

I used some twine and buttons to decorate the side steps. My sentiment and punch are SU.

I hope you liked by card and will join in our musical challenge at Creative Card Crew.

2 Cool

2 Cool - Time for another fortnightly challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy. We have a great sketch this time. I know, I always say that. But hey, I do really like using these sketches.

My designer paper is Carta Bella's Cool Summer. Don't you just love the tiny ice cream treat? Ice cream is my very favorite good in the whole world. I have an ice cream parlor near my house that I just love. It is called Rusty's. I stop there after bell practice every week. I usually get their chocolate volcano. It is vanilla ice cream with strawberries and chocolate flicks. It is to die for. LOL

Here is our sketch.

Did you notice all the gemstones sprinkled around? I love the sparkle!

My image is Trouble Maker by our sponsor, Kenny K. I think she is adorable, but I am quite sure that she is a trouble maker. With those eyes, she could get away with so much.

I colored her with Copic's and the sentiment is hand written. I usually don't like my hand writing, but I was pleased with this one.

Tomorrow starts teacher appreciation week at my grandson's school, so I thought I would give this one to her. She is very young and fun, so I think she will like it.

Got Game?

Got Game? - We have a new challenge up at Seems a Little Sketchy and our design team call is also still open. But hurry the call closes tomorrow!

Here is our new sketch. I very simple one this time around.

For my card, I started with designer paper from Bo Bunny. The pad is titled, Family is. I thought this scrabble board was perfect for a "game" card. The colors were perfect; as my son is a huge Dallas Stars hockey team fan.

The star was cut with my Cricut.

The image is Kenny K Downloads, Anime Hockey. I just love Kenny K's images. The are such great expressions and his wife, who runs the business side of Kenny K's is such a sweet heart. She wrote me the kindest letter when she found out that I lived in Moore where the F5 tornado ripped through last May.

There is a Valentine Freebie on the Kenny K Downloads site. Be sure to go there and snap it for yourself.

My Anime Hockey player was colored with Copics. I finished off my card with a button and some baker's twine. The black button reminded me of a hockey puck.

Freshman

Freshman - We have a new challenge up at Creative Card Crew. This fortnight our challenge is to use this awesome sketch. As an extra bonus, Seems a Little Sketchy (see yesterday's post) is also using this sketch and you can use it and enter your card/project in both challenges!!

The sketch was created by Lauri at Seems a Little Sketchy.

Don't you just love Kenny K's images? This school girl is called Freshman. I colored her with Copic's and fussy cut her.

My DP is Authentique's Seasonal: Summer. My fence is a SB die and the 3 yellow pearls are a Viva Decor pearl pen.

My sentiment is Hot Off the Press. The outer rose is heat embossed and is SU; as is the punch.

Feeling Blue

Feeling Blue - It is time for a new sketch at Seems a Little Sketchy

This fortnight we have this lovely sketch by our dear Tess. I really had to think on this one. I am so dependent on the main thing on my card being a large colored image.

I finally settled on doing these little images by our sponsor Kenny K Downloads. How doesn't love Kenny's fabulous work? This one is Girl Fish. I love her big eyes.

The first thing that came to me when I seen this image was to do a color changing card. My grandchildren have cars that change colors in warm water. They love taking a bath with those cars.

So here is my version of a color changing fish.

My only embellishments are pearls made with my Pearl Pen and the border that was made with a MS punch.

Drum Roll

Drum Roll - Please - It is time for a new challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge and this weeks challenge is everyone's favorite - anything goes!

We are sponsored by the awesome Kenny K Downloads.

My Designer papers are Kaiser Craft Jungle Bug Collection. I like the bright colors in the pad.

My image is Kenny K's Anime Drummer. My brother, Don, recently took up the drums and this image made me think of him. I will be sending this card to him.

I colored him with Copics. I stamped a little star collage from Hot Off the Press around the image, then roughed up all my papers with my Zutter Distrezz machine. It distresses everything really quick.

My stars are a QuicKuts die.

Retro Superman

Retro Superman - Today is a new sketch challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy. Just take a look at the lovely sketch that Tess made for us this time around.

This fortnight, we have something extra going on. I uncovered some fun Superman tibits and shared them on the Seems a Little Sketchy challenge blog. If you can add an interesting tibit on your blog post, then you can enter your card a second time. Just add a * behind your name for the second entry and we will know to look for your tidbit.

We are sponsored by Kenny K Downloads and this is the image that sparked our Superhero interest.

I colored Superhero with Copics and then added some gears using a stamp from Hot Off the Press and some dark brown ink.

Copics used - R 37, 35, 32, 30 E 000, 00, 02, 89, 87, 84, 81 YR 24, Y21
My DP is Tim Holtz Retro paper pad.

I used another Hot off the Press stamp and embossed it. I added a little bit of Tea Dye distress ink on my papers and sentiment. My sentiment was punched with a SU punch and then used a matching metal plate with a couple of small brads. After all, Superman is the man of steel.

My star punch is MS.

Red Sketchers

Red Sketchers - Today's challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge is to use the below sketch. Isn't is a great sketch? Very easy to use.

We are sponsored by Kenny K Downloads. I love his funky urban style. This image was recommended by my Copic teacher to practice Hispanic skin and hear. I still don't have this technique mastered and I must continue to practice.

My image is Kenny K's Uptown Angel. I do like her hair. I colored her with Copic's and added Stickles to the roll on her sleeve, the metal on her belt and one of her wrist bands.

My papers are MME Dilly Dally. All my papers are all distress with my Zutter, Distrezz It All.

My butterfly is a Cheery Lynn die.

My sentiment is Hot off the Press, as was the tiny butterfly stamp.

My vine is Cheery Lynn again and the flower is a trimmed stem. I added a red gemstone to the middle. Then finished off the card with 3 more red gemstones.

Plaid

Plaid - It is time for another challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy and this fortnight we are sponsored by Kenny K, the place for the best urban images around!

Just look at the great sketch that we have to use this time around. Does it seem side ways to you? Thats because I like to twist and turn my sketchs to help me visualize how it will look. I always forget to turn it back when I am finished. LOL

My DP is Karen Foster Sugerplum Plaid. I have had this paper so long, I don't even remember buying it.

My image is Kenny K's Santa Cookies. Isn't she a doll? I colored her with Copics and added liquid pearls to her fur.
I die cut the image and the "mat" with SB.

I used 2 different embossing folders on this one. The snowflake one is CB and the textile is SU.

I added 3 red gemstones to the bottom.

I  used a red gemstone charm and tied it with a thin sheer ribbon. The gold and red ribbon is tied with a Bow Easy.

That's it for me. I hope you like my card and will come and join our challenge at Seems A Little Sketchy.
