Corrosion

Corrosion - Good day, crafty friends. Today's challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity is to use the colors in corrosion. Don't you just love the rusts with the turquoise? I think they are a lovely color combo.

My image is Fred, She Said Old Truck. It is a fabulous image to practice coloring rust with. I took a class with Suzanne Dean and this was the homework from that class. It was fun to do, but a lot of work. I think I have to much rust and would have liked to have had more of the blue show through.

My papers, to include the tags are Kaiser Crafts, Secret Bird Society Collection. I distressed the papers with my Zutter Distrezz-it tool. I then inked with Rusty Hinge distress inks.

My sentiment and punches are SU.

My die is SB and I cut it in half. The swirly paperclip has been in my stash forever.

Lights

Lights - I thought it was time to start making my Christmas cards and this challenge for my DT card at One Stop Craft Challenge was a good opportunity. The challenge this week is tags. Tags always scream Christmas to me.

We are sponsored by Fred, She Said and I choose this sweet, pre-colored image to work with. I started to get it uncolored, but I couldn't imagine it colored any prettier then they have colored her. Plus it is just nice to get a break from coloring once in a while.

I did add Diamond Glaze to the lights and Stickles to the scarf. I added some red bakers twine to the bottom of the image.

My DP is K and Company's Let it Snow.

I added a few holly leaves.

Here are my 3 tags. The poinsettia is a SB. I shaped the poinsettia with Sizzix Susan's Garden tool kit. The center is made using my Viva Decor pearl pen in Kiwi.

Pansy

Pansy - Today's project is my DT project for One Stop Craft Challenge. We are sponsored by Fred, She Said. All papers and the image is part of a set. I love this set. It is beautiful and I love that I can hit a button on the printer and all my digi papers and images print out. No need to dig through papers or even pull out my Copics.

The image sheet that I printed that had several of the images in different parts, so it is perfect for layering. I cut out the main image and added pop dots on each layer. I also shaped them with my embossing tool. After stacking them, I added Cotton Candy  Stickles to the flower and Eucalyptus Stickles on the leaves. I also added some green wire that I had spiriled on a paintbrush.

My butterfly is a CL die and it's matching angel wing. I used some of the left over digi paper for the angel wing.

The sentiment is Hot Off the Press. Everything besides the butterfly was cut with SB. I was able to use my new grands on this to get the shape. I love them!

I finished off the card with some dew drops.

Wreath

Wreath - I love this card and would you believe that it is the easiest that I have done this season?  It also started out as a mistake. We are sponsored by Fred, She Said and when I went to get my image, I mistakenly got the pre-colored images instead of the regular un-colored images. But what a blessing that mistake became. I was out-of-town last week and my daughter, who is a single mother, who takes in foster children, had 2 sick children for me to watch. Needless to say with all of that plus the business of the season, I would not have had time to color for this challenge. But Fred, She Said bailed me out!

This is 2 images, both pre-colored. The first is the wreath and then Winter Birds. I then just added the birds to where I wanted them on the wreath and printed it out on card stock.

After printing, I inked with Spun Sugar distress inks. Then the fun began, I used my Zutter Distrezz-it-all and distressed the edges. With the Zutter, it is a quick process.

My DP is DCWV Tis the Season pad. I inked and ran it through the distresser also. The stick pin I made using a variety of beads.

The puckered ribbon was achieved by placing a strip of score tape across my papers and randomly sticking the ribbon to it. The bow was tied using my Bow Easy.

That's it for me. I hope you will join our distressed challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge.

Wheel Barrel

Wheel Barrel - It is my turn to host the challenge at Sunday Sketch and Stamp. Our prize for this challenge is a GDT spot.
Here is my sketch. Sorry it is so small. I don't know how to get it bigger. I will take tips from anyone who can remedy that.

My image is Fred, She Said. I colored it with Copics, then cut it with a SB. I applied Flower Soft for the flowers. I like how it turned out.

My DP's are Cloud 9 - Harvest Holiday. My flower is a stem that I clipped off. The leaves are SB.

The sentiment is from Sweet N Sassy. It came with an image. It actually has 3 sentiments with it. This one was a left over and I thought it would be good with this image.

I added some purple pearls to the sentiment, which was cut with a SU punch. I had to cut it down as the punch was just to large for this card.

Here is a profile of my finished card.
