Fantasy Fairy

Fantasy Fairy-This weeks challenge at Craft Your Days Away is pink, blue and brown. I thought it would be fun to color the fairy kind of like an Avatar character. After all fairies are fantasy creatures, so they can look however we want them to.

We are sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. They have wonderful, fun crafting supplies.

My image is Stamp and Creates' fairy named Iris. She was colored with Copic's and I added some Stickles to her skirt, wings and also the hummingbirds wings.

My DP is Kailiscope by MME. I used Ranger's Distress inks to distress the edges. The pink gemstone swirls are by Want2Scrap. The pink tulle and pearls, I picked up in the Bridal section at Hobby Lobby. The flowers are stems that I cut up.

Webbed Fun

Webbed Fun - This weeks challenge at Sew Many Challenges is Halloween. I love Halloween. It is so much fun.

For my card, I used Sew Many Cards Eris making spider web. Isn't it a cute image? I love the spider.

My DP is from Target's dollar spot last year. My punch is MS punch around the page web set. I used some orange raffia and tied it with my Bow Easy. There are 4 buttons, one in each corner.

My image was colored with Copics, and I used some Stickles on the spider and around the edge of the image. I also used my Sukara pen on the web. It is hard to see in the photo, but in real life it glisten like a real web.
For my second card, I use the dollar deal; which is this package image. What I like about this image is that it can be used for any occasion. I have used it to be a Christmas package, but it could be a wedding, birthday, or just because.

My DP is The Paper Studio Magic of the Season pad. Image was colored with Copics and I used some Stickles on the the dots. Viva Decor pearl pen to make the black pearls. I used a MS punch and a pearl spray. The sentiment is Dream Weavers, cut with Spellbinders.

CAS Giraffe

CAS giraffe - This week at Creative Card Crew we have been very busy. We had over 1000 entries this past challenge. We each have an assigned number to comment on, but that was still over 100 each. We are thrilled to have so many who like and follow our challenge blog. Thanks to all you entered!

Creative Card Crew is also keeping the stork busy. We have a total of 5 babies that have just or will soon join our families. So in honor of this, our challenge this time is something for a baby.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Simon Says Stamp! They have given a $20. gift voucher to one lucky winner. They have really awesome craft supplies to include Copics and Magnolia stamps. They also carry some Heartfelt Creations products which I love!

In light of how busy I have been commenting, I went with a Clean And Simple card. I have had these stamps from Autumn Leaves for a while. It is a set and you just ink each in a different color ink and stamp. I used Rangers Broken China and Blue Jeans distress ink. I embossed with a Spellbinders. My sentiment is Hot Off The Press.

I am one of the lucky ones that the stork will be visiting. My 3rd grandson is due next month and this card is for him! Cal, I can't wait to met you!

Purple Throated Woodstar Hummingbird

Purple Throated Woodstar Hummingbird - I love how tiny and bright hummingbirds are. The challenge this week at so many cards is: use purple, 2 Designer Papers and 3 or more gemstones. When I found the below image of the Purple Throated Woodstar Hummingbird, I know what I wanted to make purple! Why it is called the Purple Throated rather that the Emerald Throated or Purple Bellied is beyond me, but isn't it gorgeous!!!!!!

My image is Halo the Hummingbird by Sew Many Cards. You can find him here.

My DP is Miss Elizabeth and my punch is EK Success. Halo was colored with Copics. V12, 15, 17, 20, B 00, 60, 63, 66, 69, R 00, 20, G7, YG01,03. I added some Stickles to Halo and the flower. I inked with Ranger's Concord distress inks. The gemstone spray is Magnolia and I added 5 purple Dew Drops.

My frame is a Heartfelt Creations Spellbinders. I cut, embossed and inked (Ranger's Blue Jeans) with the die still on the paper.
I finished this card off with a flower made from my new Flower Shoppe cartridge by Cricut. I wet, crumpled and inked the edges then formed the flower. The center is one of the quilled spirals that got a heavy coat of Midnight Stickles.

We will now be having a Deal of an image that is for only $1 for a limited time. So hurry and get this bargain while you can. The Deal this week is this awesome image of an apple for teacher. It was a lot of fun to color and is so timely with school just starting back.
My DP is Prima Nursery Tales which was inked with Ranger's Tea Dye. The pencils were cut with my Cricut useing the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge. I cut it twice - once with kraft and once with golden yellow. The lead tips are made with a Sharpie. The eraser was colored with Copic's R32. The metal band was made using Viva Decor Inka Gold. You can get it at Heartfelt Creations. I then cut, inked and shaped my pencils. I love how they came out. Some looked at my card and thought that I had used actual pencils.
Here is a close up of the side, so that you can see the dimension of the pencils. I used a sentiment from the $1 bin at Michaels and I found the star paperclip also at Michael's.
The image was colored with Copics.

You can enter Sew Many Challenges here. You don't have to use a Sew Many Cards image to play along, but of course we do hope that you will use one. So check out what the rest of the team did with our Purple, 2 DP and 3 or more Gemstones challenge.

Tattered Flowers

Tattered Flowers - Today's challenge at Craft Your Days Away is Hand made flowers. The large flower is made using Tim Holtz sizzix die cut. My wonderful friend Milly cut a bunch of these out and brought them to share with all of us. They were distressed with Ranger's Tea Dye distress inks, then shaped and stacked. I uses a MS pearl in the center.
The 3 small flowers were cut with my Cricut, sprayed with Glimmer Mist, and crumbled. After they were dry, I opened and stacked them.

All of my papers are K and Company. My sentiment is Hot off the Press. You can hop over to Craft Your Days Away and see what my teammates have done. They have made some gorgeous flowers.

Bus Stop

If you are here for the hop and you came from Sew Many Challenges blog, then you are at the first stop on the PJ Pals fall release. If you happen chanced to come here, then please go to Sew Many Challenges blog and start there.

Bus Stop - Here is a sight that is common around the country this time of year; as children head back to school. I keep my grandson, Tyler, and he has just started 1st grade. I am happy and sad at the same time to lose his company during the day.

For my card I used All Seasons paper pack by The Paper Studio ans some buttons.
My image is Back to School Stryder, one of Sew Many Cards PJ Pals. PJ Pals are modeled after children with disabilities, hence the name PJ Pals. Stryder is the son of Sew Many Cards owner, Angela. Stryder has an amazing story that Angela has posted before, but I was unable to find it to put in a link.
My second card uses Ghost. Ghost is the Freebie that you can get for a limited time here. I love this image. I colored him with Copic's.
I colored him yellow-green to match the paper and Glow-in-the-dark MS glitter that I used on the MS punched fence. The bottom photo was taken at night without a light or flash.
Leave me a comment and one lucky person will win the Stryder back to school image that I used. Now head over to Audrey's blog for the next stop on the hop.
