Little Blessings

Little Blessings - The challenge today at Creative Card Crew is "for a child." This image is a Stitchy Bear image. It was inspired by the artist son, who was a preemie and only weighed 2.4 lbs. Stithy bear is our sponsor this week and I hope that you will take a look around their site. They have some really cute images.

This image caught my eye because a friend was doing a scrapbook for her sister who had miscarried and I think this image could also be used to signify a tiny baby in God's hands.
I colored the image with Copic's. The center flowers are Primas, with a larger Prima that I airbrushed. The pink flowers were cut off a stem.

The sentiment is Studio G, cut and stenciled useing a Spellbinders die and my airbrush.

Eggs

Eggs - I have two cards for you today. If my husband was here instead of Iraq, he would be "cracking" all kinds of yokes, I mean jokes.

The challenge this week at Sew Many Challenges is "Spring Fling" and as you can see, I have been doing Easter cards. The first card uses Halen Easter Egg. Don't you just love how his little hands and ears poke through the shell?

My DP is from my stash. I distressed my paper with my Tim Holtz distressing tool and wrapped some hemp around the triangle pieces. The pearls are a bronze Viva Decor pearl pen. I also used some brown Stickles.

My second card uses this weeks Friday Freebie. It is available today and today only, so head over and get some eggs for yourself.
The DP is from a Seasonal block, which I believe is by Paper Studio. The ribbon is from the dollar spot at Target, the buttons are from the dollar area at Michaels, and the eggs are from the Seasonal Shop at Hobby Lobby.

The eggs are colored with Copics. I added some Stickles to the egg patches and the bow patch, I added Flower Soft "Spring" to the center of the flowers.

Blue Waters

Blue Waters - This lovey mermaid is Harmony by Michelle Perkett. I love how she is perched on the algue covered rock.
For Harmony, my DP is DCWV Old World Stack. The flower is K & Company, Blue Awning. I added some fine glitter to it so that it would sparkle. The pearl swirl was hand created from a variety of pearls and gemstone. I colored Harmony with Copics and added some fine glitter to make her sparkle. I also added some Stickles on her flowers.
The challenge this week at Michelle Perkett Studio is Blue and Brown, a very easy challenge. You will need to use a Michelle Perkett image to enter. You can pick up a freebie Michelles group on Paper Craft Planet. You will also find freindly chat there. Join us in the chat, we love new friends.

Tea Cup Dreams

Tea Cup Dreams - The challenge this week at Sew Many Challenges is a sketch. It is a very easy sketch, so I hope that you will join in the fun with us this week.

For my card I used a holiday seasonal pack and the Halen sleeping in teacup image. I'snt he adorable?
I colored Halen with Copics and covered the tea cup with Diamond Glaze to give it that glazed ceramic look. I added some Tutti Fruiti Stickles to the teacup stripe. I also added some white Stickles to the edge of the blanket and the patches.

This week we are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps. I got to play with Boo. I also used the sketch for this card. I love this color combo, so I really enjoyed working with this one.

I colored Boo with Copics and used some lime green Stickles on her heart. I tied both of my ribbons with my handy bow easy. DP is K & Company, Spring blossom. It has lots of bright pinks and greens in it. I used Diamond glaze on her pacifer and my pearls are Recolletions.

Green Lavendar

Green Lavender - Vanessa by Michelle Perkett is a beautiful, graceful, lady. Today the challenge at Michelle Perkett Studio and Creative Card Crew is green. Yea me, I was able to hit both teams with one card. Check out both sites for lots of yummy greenness.

This image is Vanessa. You can buy Vanessa here, but it will not be identical to mine. If you look in the bottom right hand corner, you will see that Michelle personalized it just for me. It really made me feel special when Michelle sent it to me.
I colored Vanessa with Copic's and I used a purple Spica pen to glitter up the heart on her bodice.
I roses are Prima and I used my airbrush to color the bigger flower and tuille sprill. They were both white.

Again the flowers are Prima's. I used a leave punch and curved it around in my hand to shape the leaves. I wrapper the purple wire around a pencil to coil it.
The ribbon is DCWV adhevise ribbon. It is nice to have the adhesive already on it.

Its Hard Being Green - I was thinking about how some people used to die their hair green using sugarless Kool-aid when I was a little girl when I was coloring this image. It was supposed to wash out, but they always had a hint of the green for a while.
This weeks challenge at Sew Many Challenges is St. Patrick's day and I could not resist using this image. I was chuckling as I was coloring him. This is Hershey bath. Isn't Hershey a great name for a chocolate lab? The real life name of the dog of the artist at Sew Many Cards is Hershey.
The DP I used is from the All Seasons by Paper Studio. I used ribbon that said Erin Go Bragh and a cute little shamrock shaped button.
Hershey was colored with Copic's and I used some Diamond Glaze on the bubbles. I have had a problem with air bubbles in this product before, so thought this was a perfect time to use those air bubbles to my advantage. If you look at the bubbles on top of Hershey's head, you will see how cute those real bubbles look on this image.

For my second card, I used the Friday Freebie. Isn't that Shamrock and flowers image adorable?

I put some flower soft on the flower centers.
Our sponsor this week at Sew Many Challenges is The Cutting Cafe and the sentiment is from one of their sets. I also used an old cuttlebug die for the corner scroll.

I finished off this card with some horseshoe gemstones.

I colored Serena with Copics and gave her liquid pearls and used Studio G glitter glue.

I used some wire pearls and a wire with tuille and black pearls. The sentiment ribbon is by MS. Lace is from my stash.

Fiona

Fiona - Look at this little lassie, she is a beauty and so easy and fun to color. Fiona is Michelle Perkett's little Irish girl who has found a 4 leaf clover. Lucky girl. You can get her here.

My DP is Basic Grey's Cappella pad. The ribbon is cut from a bolt and the little gem shamrocks are Recollections.
I colored Fiona with Copics and add some Stickles on the shamrock, part of her bow and the ruffle on her socks. I added a little extra sparkle with a Sakura pen.

Oh Butterfly around the World

Oh, Butterfly around the World - The Sew Many Cards Butterfly has been traveling around the world and is a bit of a camilian, as it has changed to that country's flag at each stop. My butterfly has met some new friends in the country that it has stopped. Can you guess where they are?
My butterflies are resting on a cuckoo clock that I made useing my Cricut and lots of pop dots. The DP is from the Old World Stack by DCWV. I ebossed with the clockworks CB folder which I then inked to make the pattern stand out.

I used a mixture of prima and bush flowers for my flower sprays. The little black pearls are my Viva Decor pearl pen.
I get to give away the image of my second card to someone who leaves a comment on this posting. Please to NOT write what country you think my butterfly is in here. We want everyone to have the same change at winning the grand prize of ALL the butterflies, ALL of the new releases, AND $15 SMC store credit.
My second card uses the new release of Duncan in Egg Wagon. DP is Autumn Leaves, Olive Juice-Dandelion Purple and Potpourri. I used a MS punch on sugar paper, Viva Decor pen, flower stickers and ribbon. Image is colored with Copic's.

Goth Challenge

Goth Challenge - The challenge for this week at Creative Card Crew is goth. That was really hard for me as I love bright colors and light, happy things.
A long time ago, I had bought this Harry Potter set from Bugaboo, and I thought this was the perfect time to use it. Snape is the darkest wizard of those at Hogwarts, so I chose him. As Snape is the Potion teacher at Hogwarts for most of his time at Hogwarts, I thought it would be fun to include the potions shelf.

My DP and corner tabs were from the stash of a freind, who was cleaning out old sets and she gave me a lot of paper and punch outs, sadly, the name brand was not on any of the peices that she gave me.

I colored both images with Copics and then cut them out. I am happy with the way they came out.

Our sponsor at Creative Card Crew is Simon Say Stamp. They sell lots of yummy craft supplies to include Copics and really pretty stamps.

Watery Birthday - This is the only image I have ever seen of a little merboy. I love the simple lines. Michelle Perkett called this image of hers simply "Junior." A very fitting name for this young merman.

The challenge at Michelle Perkett's Studio this week is buttons and bows. At first I thought I would do a frilly, girly image, but as many of you know, I like to think out of the box. A frilly, girlie image would have been too easy; so as you can see, I went with a musculine card.

DP is Cloud 9 design and Paper Adventures. Ribbon is dots and dashes. Buttons and brads finish of the card.

Junior was colored with Copics. I didn't want to make him girlie, so the only Stickles I used was Waterfall Stickles. Junior was cut with Spellbinders.
