Purple Fantasy

Purple Fantasy - Michelle Perkett is sponsoring us at Creative Card Crew and it gave me a chance to color one of her images again. I had forgotten how lovey and fun to color they are. Michelle is giving one lucky winner her Lily image. Lily was the top pick of my team. I have to admit that Lily is a joy to color.
My DP is from my scrap drawer. The card stock was embossed with a Quik Cuts folder and I made the pin. I have really gotten into pins lately. They are so easy to create and I love how light plays on them. The stick pin itself, I bought from our last fortnight challenge sponsor Pizzazz Aplenty. She has the best prices around. The corner scrolls were cut with CB corner die and glittered with a fine glitter.
The pansy I found flying loose around a craft store parking lot. It had been pulled loose and was just being whipped every which-way in the wind. I pulled the center our and replaces it with a sparkly brad and added the leaves and scrolled wire.
My image is Ashely by Michelle Perkett and she is colored with Copics. I added some fine glitter to her wings.
I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Divas By Design Challenge #19 Sketch

4 Crafty Chicks #74 Pins

Pastel Love

Pastel Love - This weeks challenge at Sew Many Challenges is yellow, pink and turquise. I used Sew Many Cards super sweet Bear in the Spring.

My DP is proably a single sheet that I bought eons ago. There is no brand or name on it, so I have no clue as to who made it.
My image is colored with Copics. I added some raspberry fizz ultra fine flower soft on the flower centers, the added some ultra fine glitter on the flowers.
The hearts were punched with Creative Memories heart punches and embossed woth CB script embossing folder. I then added more of the ultra fine glitter to it. The other pink cardstock was embossed with another CB folder with flowers.
The blue card stock was embossed with the same CB folder as the pink. The yellow cardstock came embossed with the tiny tri of dots. The butterfly was punched with a MS punch.
Everything was inked with Victorian velvet distress inks and I used a yellow Viva Decor pearl pen on the butterfly and the 3 corner pearls.

My DP is Safari by The Paper Studio. Everything is inked with Ranger's Vintage Photo. My sentiment is Studio G.

I had bought this super cute giraffe image from Designed To Delight and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to use it.

Harley

Harley - Hello Friends!! Sew Many Challenges has changed to Mondays and I have a card for you. Today's challenge is Circles. Do you see all the circles in my DP? How about in the pink, which is also a circle. I used CB Tiny Bubbles embossing folder.
My flowers are all cut from stems. The bow was tied using my Bow Easy.
Did you notice the 3 gemstones? More circles!

My image is Sew Many Cards, Harley. Isn't he a fun image? I colored Harley with Copics, then used a white poster paint pen to make the air bubbles on the water.

Come join us at Sew Many Challenges. You don't have to use a Sew Many Cards image, but they sure have some cute ones.

Heart Breaker

Heart Breaker - It is time for another challenge at Seems A Little Sketchy. Just take a look at the below sketch. Isn't is a great one for the upcoming Valentine holiday!! It is pink, so of course it caught my eye!!!
We are sponsored by Stamping Dragon. This is a new digi company for me. I love the image that they gave me to work with. Isn't she delightful? She is so pretty, but a bit naughty in her lingerie.
My image is called Fairy Hearts and is colored with Copic's. I added some Stickles to her wings. After all, a fairy needs sparkly wings. LOL
My DP is Paper Pizazz's Soft purple Ferns. I used Cuttlebug's fern for the embossing. The flower is Petaloo. The ribbon has been in my stash forever and was tied using my Bow Easy.

You Rock

You Rock - Looking for high adventure? Or would you be distressed? I would be distressed or distressing and that is our challenge at Craft Your Days Away this fortnight. Distressing. You can ink or tear distress and I choose ink distressing. I used Ranger's Vintage photo.

My DP is SEI's Windsor. It is a simple card as the only other thing that I added was ribbon.
My image is Bugaboo's AKVS Rock Climbing. This image is actually only one climber. I wasn't sure which way I wanted the climber to face, and as I was flipping it I kind of liked it and so printed it that way. I like the 2 guys together. After all you should never go rock climbing alone. LOL
My image was colored with Copics and I added some Polar White flower soft.

Seeing Red

Seeing Red - I am participating in a swap at CDAC that is to make stick pins with a Love theme. This is my swap. We had to make 6 sets of 3 stick pins and then package them, so as to be a little gift for the 6 in our group. These are so fun to do. I love how romantic these pins can be. You can be looking in the months to come, all the lovely pins that I will soon be receiving.

The challenge at Creative Card Crew is Seeing Red, so I thought these stick pins would be perfect for my DT project. We are sponsored by Pizzazz Aplenty who has the most amazing prices for stick pins. I bought most of my stick pin supplies from Pizzazz Aplenty and was amazed by all that I received.
Here is the front of my pin holder. I cut the little booklet from the Damask Decor Cricut cartridge. I then went around the image with a gold pen. This was very time consuming, but I think well worth the effort. I then added the gemstones.
Here is a shot of my pins. On the left pin, I used a crytsal stick pin, that was colored with a gold Copic. Do you notice the rhinstone spacer? Those came from Judy at Pizzazz Aplenty. I bought only 2 packages and I used every one of them between this swap and my Christmas gifts to my scrapbooking buddies. I will soon be ordering more of these. LOL
The middle stick used a silver pin and heart. They were also from Judy, as was the crakled bead.
The right stick pin used another of Judy's pin, the red crystal ones. The red bead was also from Judy's shop.
You can see that I am a very loyal customer of Judy's and I am sure that you will be too, once you see her prices.
To make the beads all you do is put them on the pins, then use Glossy Accents as your glue to hold them in place. Warning: these are very addictive!!!!! LOL

I wrapped my ribbon around my card, then tied bows in my ribbon using my Bow Easy.
I hope that you will also be seeing red and join in our challenge at Creative Card Crew.

I Wuv You

I Wuv You - Sew Many Challenges started back up today and we are all so excited to get back into crafting.

This little Duncan image is one of the new releases for the 2012 Valentine season. Duncan is a favorite critter of many of our loyal fans and I was thrilled to have him assigned to me. I first colored him in teal to match my DP, but to say that it didn't turn out well is an understatement. I much happier coloring in traditional baby duck colors. But I will be trying it again soon, as it is now a challenge for me. LOL

My DP is Magic Scraps Beach pack and kraft cardstock. I added a few tiny eyelets, embossed the corner pieces with CB houndtooth folder and distressed everything in Ranger's Blue Jean ink.

You can get my Duncan image here.
My second card is a critter that is new to Sew Many Cards. Introducing ... Eddie!
Eddie was added to the Sew Many Cards line to help with a EDS (Ehler's-Danlo Syndrome) quest for the cure for Stryder. Stryder's story is a touching one and you can read about his journey here. Purple is the color for his ribbon.
My DP is a scrap that has been in my scrap drawer for quite a while. I no longer remember which paper company made it. I used my new MS punches to make the frame and I used a piece of scrap ribbon.
Eddie is colored with Copic's and I added some Stickles to the dragonfly's wings and the ribbon on Eddie. I also used some Diamond Glaze on Eddie's eyes to make them shiny.
Eddie is free with any purchase at Sew Many Cards starting on the 16th and ending on the 19th. So get 2 cute images for the price of one and help with the quest for the cure!

I am entering my Duncan with Heart card in the following challenges:

Are You Ready For Some Football?

Are You Ready For Some Football? - Seems a Little Sketchy is sponsored this challenge by Crafty Sentiments. Here is the sketch. Isn't is a fun one?

This adorable image is Crafty Sentiments "Charles Bear Lets Play." My sentiment is also by Crafty Sentiments. My DP is Little Yellow Bicycles' Love Letters. I cut the helmet with my Cricut using Sports Mania and inked everything with Ranger's Black Soot ink. I have had the Sports Mania cartridge but this is the first time that I used it.

I colored the image with Copics. I am taking Copic classes with Suzanne Dean and one of our class assignments was to color an image using the dotting techinque to make the image look soft and cuddly with some texture. This was the one that I did for the class. If you look at my post below this you will see that I used the same techique, but this is the image that I first colored with this technique.

Bubbly

Bubbly - I have seen so many white on white cards and finally I took the plunge and tried it! I love how it came out.
The challenge at Craft Your Days Away is "New Beginnings." This card could be used for a wedding or a celebration of any kind, such as a new job, not to mention New Years.
I used the sketch from Chocolate, Coffee and Cards.
We are sponsored by Stamp Fairy and they let me play with one of their images. I colored the image with Copics and added Stickles to the tie and bubbles. I also used Diamond Glaze on the goblet and the Bear's nose.
I used 3 little flower buds that I cut off a stem then added lots of Stickles to make them sparkly. My DP is a free down loadable from Gina K. I used the canvas. I love the EK Success punch that I used then added some tiny gemstones. I used a scrap of white embossed paper and inked everything with Tea Dye ink. My flower is a fabric trim that I centered a pearl in and added Stickles on it. I finished the flower off with a white feather and a small strand of pearls.
TIP: I store my gemstones in bead trays that I find in the jewery department in my local craft store. I really like the craftmates ones. I also store my brads and buttons in these.

Eskimo Kisses

Eskimo Kisses - The first challenge of the year at Creative Card Crew is "Snow Day." This is a nice easy challenge to ease us back to crafting after our busy holiday season.

This image made me think of my son and his wife, who are stationed in Alaska. Unfortunately Adam was deployed to Afghanistan and will not be there for his first Christmas since being stationed there. He returns in early winter in 2012, so we are all planning an Alaskan Christmas next year.

We are sponsored by the fabulous Simon Says Stamp. Simon Says Stamp has a huge stock of crafting supplies. They are our monthly sponsor and are giving a $20 gift voucher to one lucky winner.

My sketch is from Sketchy Colors. They are a site that I recently found. I really like that they have combined a color with the challenge and they give you a lot of time to do it. Their color challenge is different in that it is not a color combo that I would never use without the suggestion of their color challenge, but they are classic color combos that are really pretty together. As for this challenge is to pick one of their past color combos, I looked through all their past challenges and was delighted with each one of them. I choose the pink and turquoise.

My image is Siku and Shiya from Mo's digital pencil. I love Mo's images. The look on the faces of Mo's images are always heart warming. I view her as the Norman Rockwell of digi images.

My DP's are Wintry Christmas by Wild Rose Studio. I used some ribbon from my scrap ribbon jar and the snowflakes were punched with white and blue sugar paper, then topped with a gemstone.
