Scaredy Cat

Pumpkin and Kitty - With the turning of season, comes the crispness of the air and the warmeth of a glowing Jack-O-latern. This is my husbands favorite season with the beautiful fall foilage.

This card is to celebrate the changing of the season and all the warmeth that comes with it.
Michell Perkett has brought delight into her images once again with this frightened little kitty. This image is a freebie and you can get it by joining any of her 3 craft groups. I colored this image with Copics. DP paper is from Targets dollar spot. I even dragged out my QuickKuts dies for the the spider. The web gemstone embellishment is by Colorbox. Fabulous Cake

The winner of Nurse Grumpy Grechen is #9!!!!! That's you KC. Contact me and I will get your image to you.

Fabulous Cake - Grumpy Gretchen has baked a cake. Isn't is FABULOUS!! Image is Big Deal Birthday available at Digi's with Attitude! Grechen is colored with Copics, then distressed with Broken China distress inks. The cake, Grechen's headband and the butterfly recieved a bit os Stickles. DP is DCWV's Al Dressed Up pad. The bow is made of tuille and topped with a butterfly that I had picked up at Hobby Lobby last spring.

The challenge this week at Digi's with Attitude! Challenge is the above sketch. We like it if you use a Digi's with Attitude! image, but you don't have to. Also there is a Freebie at the challenge site. I love the freebie image. I haven't colored the freebie yet, but look forward to working with it.
The Digi's with Attitude! challenge is sponsered by Mygraphico, which means you can win both a Digi image from Digi's with Attitude and digi papers from Mygrafhico. I lot of people are intimidated of working with digi's, but they really are easy to use and you can do things with them that you can't do with rubber stamps, such as resizeing and fliping the image. I have not tryed the digi papers yet, but as I am considering getting the new Imagine machine from Provo Craft, I think the digi paper is very simular in that you can print out how much you need and not have any waste. Also it is a lot easier to store digi paper than storing all the paper that I may or may not use.

Butterfly Display

Butterfly Display Card - I promised my students that I would teach this style of card at our next class. I have had a lot of questions about how to do it. This is called a double display card. If you google it, you will find lots of patterns for it. My finished card it 5 1/2 X 4. All of the DP are from my stash. The butterflies were on a sprig of flowers that I picked up at the Dollar Tree. The glass wires are by Magnolia - the makers of Tilda. I got them from a friends etcy shop. The pearl swirls are by want2scrap.

The little diamond shape I cut with my Cricut Remienisce cartridge, page 29. I used little purple gemstones by Darcie. I also used a purple pearl from Recollections in the center.

Autumn Leaves

Autumn Fairy - Lorelei by Michelle Perkett is a delightful autumn fairy. I just love all the apples and leaves that she has gathered around her. I colored Lorelei with Copics , the DP is Alleghany by K&Company. I love the sparkle in the DP. The flowers are Prima and I used leave shapes gemstones to add more sparkle. Ribbon is from my stash. I also used one of my spellbinders that I picked-up on clearance at Hobby Lobby.

The challenge at Michelle's challenge is Autumn leaves. You can use any Michelle Perkett image to join us. You can pick up some FREEBIE'S at any of Michelle's groups. Look on the challenge blog for the links.

Nutcracker Fairy

Nutcracker Fairy - This little gal is ready to dance right into your heart. I have become rather fond of coloring her. She is so fun and easy. What I wouldn't give to have legs that long and willowy. I colored Michelle Perkett's Nutcracker Fairy with Copic markers. Her skirt and the twinkle above her wings were Stickled with Plantuim Stickles. The DP by Paper Studio. I used a green vellum behind the image and the DP. Ribbon is by Celebrate It. Then I used 6 ruby colored gemstones to add some bling.

Girls Night Out! Bling It On! Blog Hop & Challenge

I am blessed to have a daughter and daughter-in-law who are nurses. So this is for them. They both really are Fabulous! Also my God mother is a nurse. She is Fabulous too, although she would deny it!
This image was so fun to work with. I colored her with Copic's and added a lot of red stickles on her neckline, the cross on her cap, and on her shoes. The DP is DCWV All Dressed Up. It is hard to see, but there is a lot of glitter on DP. White ribbon is Celebrate it! The pink ribbon (in honor of a dear crafting buddy that we lost to Breast Cancer (This is Breast Cancer Awareness month)) is Studio His & Hers wedding ribbon. I also added a glittered heart and a beaded charm.

October 31st

October 31st - I used Michelle Perkett's Happy witch again, but this time I colored her more classical and I didn't color her face green. Although I still like the green skin. LOL
The challenge this week at Michelle Perkett Studio is "Witches Brew." This gave me a good excuse to use Happy Witch again. She is so esy to color and just a joy to work with. It is amazing how different she can look colored in different way!
Image is Michell Perkett, colored with Copic's. DP and October 31st word art is for the dollar spot at Target. Ribbon and star shank is from my stash. Happy Witch also recieved some stickles on the stars.

Paper Sundaes

I am applying for a DT postition at http://www.papersundaes.blogspot.com/ They are a challenge blog that I recently found and love. Their challenge at this moment (it will change tommorrow) is a change of season.
One of the interesting things about this challenge is that you can enter it with 3 different projects each week. Not only do I like what their DT does, but the enteries are amazing. It is a great place to lurk.
They asked us to post 3 examples of our work, which is why I have posted work that many of you have already seen. I wanted to show my explosion box, but it takes so many photos to really see it and blogger was hanging up with that many photos in one post. If you would like to see it you can look in the archive section. I have posted it in September.
I will be anxiously awaiting tommorrows challenge at Paper Sundaes and hope that you will peek in there too.

Happy Witch Treat Bag

Happy Witch - This treat bag is for my DGS Tyler, the image is Michelle Perkett's Happy Witch. Isn't she fun. I really hesitated about coloring her face green, but I really like it. I colored her with Copics. I used 6 eyelets to make the holes for the ribbons. The punch is a MS.
Ribbon is from Michaels that I bought at clearance last fall.

Getting Even

Getting Even - Grumpy Gretchen from Digi's with Attitude! is at it again. She is back with her attitude! This time she is spooking up a new outfit. She is so stylish with her new boots and spiders dangling from her skirt. This image is called sexy witch and you can get it here. The challenge this week at the Digi's with Attitude! challenge is green, orange, and purple. You don't have to use a Digi's with attitude! image to enter, but we like it when you do. So please join us this week in the fun challenge!

My card this week is a double slider card. When you pull the top ribbon, out pops an insert from the top and the bottom. This style is not diffecult and fun to do. The DP is from the dollar spot at Target, as it the green art. The shoes are shanks that I cut the shank off of. The ribbon I had picked up last year after Halloween. The punch is a MS border punch called Gothic Arches. I heat embossed the heart shaped skulls at the bottom of the pull out.

Digi stamps and watermark

There is a great tudorial on working with Digi Stamps and creating a watermark.

Drummer Boy

Drummer boy - The Lil' drummer Boy is my DH's favorite song and Christmas cartoon. The stamp is by Stampendous and I colored him with Copics. I did give him high ligths with a Sharpie post paint pen, but I did not use any stickles so that I can send this to my DH in Iraq. The DP is from the faith pack by Paper Studios. The ribbon is a harvest seasonal that I picked up real cheap last winter. Then I finished it up with 2 buttons.
http://www.charismacardz.blogspot.com/ #40 Autumn colors-green, red, brown and burnt orange

Red Roses

Red Roses - I have another Michelle Perkett image for you again today. This one is called Amore. I love her long eyelash. The DP is a Hobby Lobby excluse "Magic of the Season" the entire pad is red, black, cream and white. Yes, it is a Christmas pad, but there are some patterns that are not Christmasie(?). Amore was colored with Copics and I used a gold leaf silver pen on the leaves in her wings. The punch is a MS and I believe it is called Gothic Arch. It kind of reminded my of thorns. I used 2 different sizes of red gemstones.

The challenge this week is Hand made flowers.

I made the flower with my Cuttlebug flower quilling kit. These are so easy, you roll the cutting plate through the Cuttlebug, then you just roll the flower and flatten it when you are finished. I then gathered some black tuille into a circle and glued it to the back of the flower with a big thick glue dot. I finished it up with a gemstone in the center.

Pink Friendship

Pink Friendship - I have used Michelle Perkett's Holly fairy again. I love how she interacts with the birds and the tree. I also love you she is a winter fairy. We tend to think of fairies as being in a spring meadow or summer flower patch, so I like her winter activies. DP is KO joyful twinkle. I colored all of the white dots with a cream colored Copic to better meet the color challenge that I am intering her in. I also colored all of the flower pieces with Copics, except for the top layer that is cream, it came that way. The peppermint candies are on some vellum that I have had for a long time in my stash.

A new Attitude!!!!!

A new Attitude! This is my card for the new Digi's with Attitude! line. This image is Grumpy Grechen Diva Devil. I think Grechen is a whole lot like my DD Lindsay. She is beautiful, sassy and has a lot of Attitude. Lindsay went through a stage where this shade of blue was the only color she would wear.
You can find Grumpy Grechen here at the brand new Shop with Attitude! shop. At the shop site there is a FREEBIE digi stamp for you, just for visiting. You can also sign up to get a monthly e-mail with a free digi sent to you. How is that for service? That's right, free and sent to you.
The challenge on the challenge blog for this week is to use metal on your project and you don't have to use a Digi's with Attitude! image to enter this challenge. So pull out your brads and bookplates and any other nuts and bolts that you might have in your stash and join us!!!
For my metal I used a metal bookplate, my ribbon has wire in it, and 3 brads; 2 in the bookplate and one in the center of the flower.

Dance of the Fairies

Dance of the Fairies - Marilyn, one of my Michelle Perkett DT pals, made one of these and I wanted to give it a try as well. The tudorial for this can be found here. It is very easy to do. I would love to see you try it as well. The image is Michelle Perkett's nutcracker fairy. Michelle has some of the cutiest fairies. I colored her with Copics and used lots of stickles on her. The DP is one of the Dollar packs that I picked up at a Dollar Tree about 3 years. The challenge this week at Michelle Perketts challenge is "It's hip not to be square." The challenge blog has some really great shaped cards and you can see them here.

I Want Candy

I Want Candy - (Michelle I hope you like my play on words!) This image is by Michelle Perkett and the image is called "Candy." Isn't she the freindlyest witch you have ever seen! Michelle must have channeled the designer of the K & Company paper when she was sketching Candy. LOL The design in the paper matches Candy's dress perfectly!!! Candy was colored with Copics and the DP is by K & Company. The ribbon I bought at Michael's. The brads are by Paper Wishes
and I added orange Stickles to them to make them sparkle. Some of Candy's stars and the bow on her broom also got some Stickles.
http://www.allsortschallenge.blogspot.com/ #72 travel Wouldn't Candy look stylish on her broom?
