Flowery Cupcake

Flowery Cupcake -  It is time for another sketch challenge at Sunday Sketch and Stamp, sponsored by Crimson Cloud.

 Here is the lovely sketch.

My image is by Michelle Perkett Studio. I love Michelle's girly images. I used a lot of V Copic markers to color it. I cut the image with a SB and inked with Seeded Preserves distress ink. I added gemstones to the flower centers to add some blink.

I gave my ribbon flowers some Seeded Preserves to give it a hint of the purple. My finishing touch on the card was to add 3 lilac pearls made with my Viva Decor pearl pen.

Purple Power

One of team members just got married and we are all so happy for her. If you would like to join the hop from the start go to the Creative Card Crew challenge blog. If you came from blog then you are in the right place.

Congatulation Jan! I wish you and your dashing groom all the happiness that your hearts can hold. You have so many exciting things going on in your live and we are all so happy for you!

I am the end of the hop. You can find pictures of the lovely couple on Jan's blog.

Purple Power - Today's challenge at Creative Card Crew is Purple and lots of it! Purple is such a popular color, so many of you will love this challenge.

All of the papers are pieces that were in my purple scrap drawer. I love it when that happens, but regrettably I have no clue as to the manufacture is.

We are sponsored by Robyn's Fetish who gave us some images to play with. This one is Katie Computer Gal. I think she is adorable and you can get her here.

I colored Katie with Copic's and added some Stickles to her hair ties, sleeves and pant cuffs.

My flower was in my flower bin, I think it was part of a stem at one time. I used a brad in the center and added some Stickles to it.

The leaves are from Pizzazz Aplenty. I coiled some purple wire around a paintbrush and the swirl is a MD die.

My top sentiment is Hot Off the Press and the bottom is Autumn Leaves.

My card for Jan used an image by The Paper Shelter. I used papers from my black scrap drawer. I think they are The Paper Studio and DCWV.

My flower is Creative Impressions with a sparkly brad.

I had to add a feather as Jan wore one in her hair for her wedding.

Sentiment is Hot Off the Press punched with a SU punch and I added 2 pearls made with my silver chrome pearl pen.

Fit for a Queen

Fit for a Queen - It is time for another challenge at Alphabet Challenge Blog and this time we are on Q - and Q is for queen with her royal jewels. Now is your chance to use all those crowns that we know you have laying around.

I don't know who makes the DP's has it has been in my stash for quite a long time.

My stickpin is made with a variety of beads. I get a lot of my beads from my friend Judy at Pizzazz Aplenty. She has great prices and is really quick in getting them out.

These flowers were in my stash loose, so I don't have a clue who makes them. I added a gemstone to the center and a feather.

My image is Robyn's Fetish. I colored her with Copics and pulled out my Spicas for the gems on her crown and the big  jewel on her necklace.

My gemstone strip was cut from a piece of gemstone trim that I bought at the convention.

Girl on Fire

Girl on Fire - Todays challenge at Seems A Little Sketchy is sponsored by Sassy Designs. They let us all choose an image to work with and I chose this image of Katniss Aberdeen in her dress that she wore for her television interview, the one that has flames when she twirls.

Here is the sketch turned to the way that I used it. I invisioned that swirl as a flame.

My DP's are K and Company, Meodow. I really like the reds and golds in the papers.

Here is a close up of the image. I colored her with Copics. I live the way her dress turned out.

My red flame swirl is Recollections and my ribbon is goldenrod, tied with my Bow Easy. If you don't have one, it is a great buy. I don't know how I ever tied bows without it.

My swirl is a MD die. Flowers are a varity of blooms that I had.

Here you can see the ultra fine glitter that I used on her dress.

This image was a lot of fun to color and I hope that you will join us at Seems a Little Sketchy.

Egyptian Queen

Egyptian Queen - It is team's turn to design for Sunday Sketch and Stamp challenge.

Just take a look at this weeks sketch! Isn't it a beauty! Yep, I turned it as usual.

We are sponsored by the Stamping Boutique.

My image is Sassy Designs. It was fun to color, especially her somewhat sheer dress. I had to really think about what would be a fine linen and where the linen would be bunched and less sheer.

My designer paper is actually gift wrap. I bought this gift wrap from a school fundraiser when my son was in first grade. He is now a 1st Lt. in the Army, so I have had it for a looooong time. I was waiting for an occasion such as this challenge with this image. LOL

I used cheese cloth and ribbon, that is almost hidden by me flowers. The flowers are recollections.

Fall Colors

Fall Colors  - Todays challenge at Creative Card Crew is .... trees. It can be any tree for any season, but I was inspired by the changing colors and I love to make fall trees the best, when leaves become the flowers of autumn.

My Designer paper is K and Company's, Alleghany.

I tied my Bow with my Bow Easy. Then I added a stick pin.

I stamped my leaves with Distress inks - Iced Spruce, Rusty Hindge, Wild Honey, and Fired Brick.

You can get all of these Distress Inks at Simon Says Stamp, who is our sponsor for this challenge. They have some really great dies of trees in their Stamptember sale going on right now.

The stamp comes as a 2 stamp package. You just stamp in different color with the leaves until you get the color you want. The stamp set is by Sarasota Stamps.

I tried some different things before I settled on the final image.

These are the other 2 that I played with.

Star Power

Star Power - Seems a little Sketchy is trying an extra challenge with this being just for Scrap booking pages.

This sketch just screamed Disney to me. I will be taking my grandchildren to Disney World soon, so I was very happy to get a head start on my pages. I am doing them all times 4, so that I will have an album for the boys as well.

Here is the sketch, what does it scream to you? Use our sketch and come post it, so I can see what you do with it! My team mates had a very different take on it. Check out their  here.

Most of my papers are by Creative Imaginations. The dotted paper in the stars are Paper Studio. The Disney buttons I got at the scrap booking  convention. I used bakers twine in the centers.

I embossed the stars with a CB folder.

The Disney icon and the stars were cut with my Cricut using the Mickey and Friends and Mickey font cartridges.

I have had the Disney brads in my stash for quite a while.

The photo mats are presized for the 2 sizes of photos that I use most; 5x7 and 3 1/2 x 5.

Venom

Venom - Can you believe we are up to P at Alphabet Challenge Blog? Can you guess by my "card" what the P is for? P is for pocket, did you guess it?

My DP is a combination of papers. The 2 back papers are Cloud 9, Harvest Holiday. The DP on the pocket is Pink Paislee Hocus Pocus.

I roughed up the papers with my Tim Holtz distressing tool.

I finally found some cheese cloth and I like the webby feel to it for a Halloween project. I added a pair of spider earrings as a gift for my daughter.

The pocket is stamped with Spider Venom in memento ink. The raven and cage is heat embossed with black embossing powder. Both stamps are Pink Paislee's Phantom 24.

I finished off the card with a Hersheys bar in the pocket.

Peacock

Peacock - I love the bright beautiful colors of a peacock. They may be a dirty bird, but they sure are lovely.

This challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy is sponsored by My Heart Pieces. She is my first time to color one of their images and I must say that I enjoyed it very much.

Here is the sketch for this fortnights challenge. As usual I have turned it to to the angle that I am working the sketch and forgetting to turn it back. LOL
My DP my friend found at the Tulsa convention that we just went to. Milly was so excited that she had found the paper for me. Just a few days earlier, we had our usual Wednesday crop at Milly's and I had taken that this image to work on, but had been unsatisfied with the papers that I had. Thank you Milly!
We have cropped together for the last 10 years. I moved away for 5 of those years, so it has been very nice to be back with them and to know that I will never have to move away again!  My husband just retired from AFEES and I never have to move again and we don't plan to. As my husband says, our next move will be to Shady Oaks nursing home/cemetery. which ever comes first.

The paper is Graphic 45.

The image is My Heard Pieces and colored with Copics. I added gemstones to the tail feathers.

My flower embellishment is a flower that we made in a class at the Dallas convention. The class was taught by Marion for Prima. We Glimmer Misted one of Primes flowers and added a puffy white something, sorry, I don't remember what it was called. The center is a brad dipped in UTEE then in teal Gala Glitz. The feathers are from my stash.
The punch is MS's lacy flower. It is my new favorite punch. I did dry emboss the yellow base, but it does not show. The string is beading string that I got from my friend Judy who is the owner of Pizzazz Aplenty. She has such wonder beading products and her prices are amazing!
