Tongue

Tongue - How do you like my little fellow? Don't you just love his tongue? I bet the little boy who receives this card will like that part!

This is my DT card for Crafts 4 Eternity. Our challenge for this week is TIC TAC TOE. Please go and check out our TIC TAC TOE board on the blog.

I went with the center row down-Use a Sketch, Yellow, and Male Theme.

My fun guy is Squigglefly's Giddy. I colored him with Copics, then used Diamond Glaze on hit tongue. I used distress ink to stencil the little dots around him.

I used a SB die to cut the image and mat.

I used navy Baker's twine to make the banner with some paper scrapes that were punched with a corner rounder. I surprised myself. I think they came out pretty good!

All papers were inked with Faded Jeans distress inks.

I finished it off with yellow baker's twine and a button.

Best of Britain

Best of Britain - We are starting a new challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity and Alphabet Challenge Blog. The challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity is the best of British. Now as an American, you can image that this one was tough for me, but Sassy Studio Designs can through for me with this cute Sassy in the Union Jack dress.

My DP's are Bazzill's Basic Paper.

\

I colored the image with Copics, then stenciled around it with a butterfly stencil and distress inks. I added some sparkle with Stickles and cut with a SB.

The challenge at Alphabet Challenge Blog is H for handmade embellishment. I made the butterfly using CL die and added Stickles to the outer layer and then used a red brad in the center. I used 4 more brads around the middle piece.

The border is a MS punch.

My sentiment is SU.

Playful Flight

Playful Flight - It is time for a new challenge at The Sweet Pea Stampers. Our challenge for this fortnight is Wings!! Isn't that a great challenge, with all of the things that are taking flight this time of year? Think bugs, new baby birds and people going on vacation.

My designer paper is Kaiser Craft, Secret Bird Society Collection.

My image is The Land of Dragon Flies by Charity Dauenhouer for Sweet Pea Stamps. I just love the larger "dragon" fly, not to mention the lovely fairy.

I colored it with Copics and used my air brush on the background along with some Frisket to mask the fairy and dragonflies.

I used some gemstone studs in the corner of the image. Lately, I have been fascinated by the images being cut at an angle instead of the orderly straight lines of normal and wanted to give it a try.

The little notebook clip and bird were in the paper pack.

Treasure This Moment

Treasure This Moment - Wow! How quick a fortnight goes! It has already been 2 weeks since our last challenge at Creative Card Crew. This fortnights challenge is Shabby Chic or Vintage. I was not the only one to choose to color this little fellow in Sepia tones. Please check out what the other team members did.

My designer paper is Kaiser Craft, Art of Life.

We  have 2 sponsors for this challenge. They are the Scrapping Center and Whiff of Joy

My image is Whiff of Joys, Reporter Henry. I colored him with Copics, cut it with a SB die and inked with distress inks. I believe I used Gathered Twigs, but it could have been Vintage Photo.

I used my Bow Easy to tie the bow and then used a stick pin from one of the stickpin swaps that I did.

Sentiment is a punch out from the paper pad.

Slice of Life

Slice of Life - Today starts a new challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy

My Designer paper is Day to Day by Doodlebug Design Inc.

Here is our sketch. I nice, 3 panel design. The sketch for the challenge following this one is on the future sketch page at Seems a Little Sketchy. This way you can use it to create a card for a future sketch. I like to work ahead on DT cards, but I usually wait so that I can enter it into a sketch challenge. That is why we post our sketches way in advance.

We are sponsored by QKR Stampede. I colored "Slice of Life" with Copic's. The shaped die cut is Life style Crafts.

My corner die cut is Breezy Branches by SCACD.

I finished off the card with a bow and stickpin.

Baby Sister

Baby Sister - Hello friends!!!!We have a new fabulous challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity. The challenge this week is "To Die For." I love using die cuts and I know that many of you do also.

This challenge is sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs and the prize is 4 images from them. So pull out those dies and come join us!

My Designer paper is Park Bench by Fancy Pants Designs.

My image is A Day for Daisies, My Baby Brother. As you can see, I made mine Baby Sister.

I colored this image with Copics, while visiting my daughter, who had just had a beautiful baby girl. She also has 2 gorgeous little boys. The younger of the 2 boys is just fascinated with his new sister and this image reminds me of them.

A little girl from their play group drew in the hearts.

You know how we grandma's are, any excuse to show off our grandchildren. LOL This beautiful princess is Inara Lynn.

Here is my die cut for this challenge it is an Alder Tree by Memory Box.

I finished off my card with 3 aqua pearls.

Wishes

Wishes - We have a great sketch for you at Crafts 4 Eternity. It is a really great one. It would be a great one for a page layout as well.

My designer paper is Teresa Collins, Tell Your Story.

My image is A Day for Daisies, Fairy Wish. Isn't she adorable. I love the position of her hands. Like she is just delighted with whatever it is that she is looking at.

I colored her with Copics and used Frosted Stickles on her wings and the flowers in her hair. She was cut with a SB die and inked with distress ink. I believe I used Tumbled Glass.

I used Distress Crackle paint for the scattered white dots  and then added some aqua pearls.

The sentiment is Hot Off the Press. I hand cut them. My ribbon was a sewing trim.

Cloned Mom

Cloned Mom - It is time for a new challenge at the Sweet Pea Stampers. This fortnight our challenge is to use kraft. I decided to color on the kraft for this card. I love how the kraft totally changes the intensity of the color.

My designer paper is MME, Blush.

My image is Ching Chou Kuik's Aloha. I used the rubber stamp, but the rubber is now retired and the image in now only available in Digi.

I colored Mom and daughter with my beloved Copics. I added some glitter to the fins.

I used a mulberry flower from Pizzazz Aplenty with a stick pin in it.

I finished the card off with a hot pink rose ribbon, a sentiment stamped and punched with SU and I added some more glitter the the edge of the sentiment. Lastly, I added 3 tiny pink pearls.

I love the way this card turned out and I hope that you will play along with us in our kraft challenge. You don't have to use a Sweet Pea Stamp to play along, but we do have an extra prize for an Sweet Pea only entry.

Rocker Chick

Rocker Chick - Today's challenge at Creative Card Crew is music!!! Kenny K Downloads has such great images for this challenge. I could not resist using this Rock Chick. Isn't she adorable?

I went with a center step card for my design. I love the fun folds in this style.
My designer paper is KaiserCraft, inked with distress ink. I believe I used Gathered Twigs, but I can't remember for sure.

I colored Rock Chick with Copic's and gave her guitar lots of sparkle with Stickles.

I used some twine and buttons to decorate the side steps. My sentiment and punch are SU.

I hope you liked by card and will join in our musical challenge at Creative Card Crew.

2 Cool

2 Cool - Time for another fortnightly challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy. We have a great sketch this time. I know, I always say that. But hey, I do really like using these sketches.

My designer paper is Carta Bella's Cool Summer. Don't you just love the tiny ice cream treat? Ice cream is my very favorite good in the whole world. I have an ice cream parlor near my house that I just love. It is called Rusty's. I stop there after bell practice every week. I usually get their chocolate volcano. It is vanilla ice cream with strawberries and chocolate flicks. It is to die for. LOL

Here is our sketch.

Did you notice all the gemstones sprinkled around? I love the sparkle!

My image is Trouble Maker by our sponsor, Kenny K. I think she is adorable, but I am quite sure that she is a trouble maker. With those eyes, she could get away with so much.

I colored her with Copic's and the sentiment is hand written. I usually don't like my hand writing, but I was pleased with this one.

Tomorrow starts teacher appreciation week at my grandson's school, so I thought I would give this one to her. She is very young and fun, so I think she will like it.

Fairy at Dusk

Fairy at Dusk - This is a new type of card for me. I have not really done much inking other than the edges. I watched a Stamp TV tutorial and really wanted to try my hand at it and I must say that I am pretty pleased with the way that it came out and I had the perfect excuse; as the challenge this week at Crafts 4 Eternity is to feature stamping in your project.

I used distress inks. I believe I used about a dozen different colors.

I did not mask out my fairy and the next time I will as the horizon line was a bit of a problem to hide. I use a color box pad for the fairy and as the horizon line was a problem, I used a water brush to push some of the ink out, then used the distress inks to paint in the fairy's skirt and the water where she is standing. Skickles was then my best friend to further hide the horizon line.

My fairy and sentiment stamp is Heritage Handcrafts.
