English Tea

English Tea - V is for Vintage at Alphabet Challenge Blog. I made these little pin boxes for the Swap at CDAC. The theme for this swap was English Tea Party and Butterflies.

This is my English Tea Party pins, You can see my Butterfly stick pins here.

Oh, Dear! Blogger must be playing tricks again. I wrote this post up last night and now I see that it is gone! Only my pictures and first sentence is here.

My paper is Making Memories, Noteworthy. I love this paper and have used it for so many things. It is one that I bought at Tuesday Morning. I had to buy an entire package (25) of the one design, luckily it is double sided, but I have used it about once a month and I still am not tired of using it. LOL

Here are my pins. I get most of my stick pin supplies from Judy at Pizzazz Aplenty. She has wonderful prices and such pretty pins and beads.

I stuck the stick pins in felt, so that they would stay in place during shipping to the swap leader.

My box is basically a matchbox with a fancy top and bottom. I used a SU die the this. I also used the matching paper piercing template to pole the holes in them. I thought would be more perfect for a stickpin holder than to be poled with a pin. LOL

I inked everything with Tea Dye distress inks. I just had to use Tea Dye, since the theme is English TEA Party. LOL
These were finished of with a piece of lace and a flower spray that was tied with a ribbon.

Chaos at Christmas

Chaos at Christmas - The challenge at Craft 4 Eternity is Christmas Chaos and I think this card and my life reflect that very well. Christmas is almost upon us and boy, does my life feel pleasantly chaotic.

My image is Digi Doodles. I colored it with Copics I then stamped it with a snowflake stamp all around the edges. I added some tinsel glitter to the garland and used my Spica pens on the lights and ornaments. I added some Stickles to the snowflakes.

My flowers are Prima and sprayed with Glimmer Mist. The pearls are from a garland and the leaf is SU. A gemstone was used in the center of each flower.

My papers are K and Company, Evergreen. This week's Crafts 4 Eternity challenge  is sponsored by Crafts 4 Eternity. They have some yummy things in their shop and I hope that you will stop by and see them.

Cookies and Milk

Cookies and Milk - There is a new sketch challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy!

What I love about Seems a Little Sketchy is that it is a fortnightly challenge, which means that you have 2 weeks to get in a card or scrapbook page! That is great for people who like to work a little head on design teams!

We are sponsored by My Grafico. The provided us with a set of images. There were a lot of images to choose from in this set. I chose this Santa working on a toy car. I have 5 grandsons, so I always need boy cards!

I colored the image with Copics and added Stickles to the fur on Santa.

The gingerbread cookie was cut with my Cricut and the Dress-up Paper Doll cartridge. The plate was just circle punches that were inked and stacked. The milk was hand cut. I used acetate for the glass.

My papers were from my Christmas scrap drawer, so I have no clue who the manufacturer is.

Benched

Benched  - Today at Sunday Sketch and Stamp we have a new sketch for  you. This is a very simple one, cause we know how busy everyone is at this time of year!

My DP is Cloud 9, Harvest Holiday.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Robyn's Fetish. I used this cute little pinguin couple from Robyn's Fetish. I colored it with Copic's and added some Stickles to the snow.

The flower is a Tim Holtz die. It made it very easy!

Vintage Christmas

Vintage Christmas - It is time for another challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge.

Now that Thanksgiving is over, we are really getting into Christmas at my house. We had a few years where everything was in storage while we were transfered to DC and Dallas, then last year my husband had just returned from Iraq a few days before Christmas and we were traveling to California, for Christmas with our new grandson; so it has been a while since we have decorated for Christmas.

And boy, is my husband making up for lost time. He has pulled crate after crate down from the attic. He is putting Christmas things everywhere! It is very festive! And a little tiring. But at the same time, very pleasant.

This year everyone is coming here, to include my son, who is just back from a tour in Afganistan.

For my card, I bought a new paper pad, just for this challenge of Vintage Christmas, K and Company's Evergreen

The image and the sentiment were in the pad, so a great buy for me. I did add some Stickles to the Sentiment to add so sparkle.

The punch is a MS

I bought the pinecones with the red stimens together. The bow was tied with my Bow Easy. The poinsettia is SB that was shaped with embossing tools and a very soft mat. The greenery is CL.

I hope you liked my card and will join us at One Stop Craft Challenge in our vintage Christmas challenge.

Christmas Dreams

Christmas Dreams - This sweet little mouse reminds me of Christmas Eve at my house growing up. It was our tradition to open the presents on Christmas Eve after returning home for the Christmas Eve children's program at our church. After opening our presents we played and played with our new gifts. We were allowed to stay up very late, as we could sleep in on Christmas morning.

I can image this little mouse sleeping in all the gift wrap at our house.

My image is Digi Doodles Cecil Wrapped Up. I colored Cecil (would you believe that I have a brother named Cecil?) with Copics. I added some Stickles to the ruffle on the pillow. The tree branches in the upper right hand corner were hand drawn by me. I was nervous about doing this, but I like the result!

My holly vine is CL. The flower is The Girls' Paperie, Tinsel and Twig.
My paper is Cloud 9 - Harvest Holiday. Everything is inked with Forest Moss distress ink.

I finished off the card using a MS punch, 3 red gemstones and some red baker's twine.

This card is my Design Team project for Crafts 4 Eternity's Midnight Magic challenge. We are sponsored by Pink Gems. I hope that you will join us for this challenge. The midnight magic does not have to be Christmas related, but I would love to hear about your Christmas Eve  magic!

Pink Penquin

Pink Penquin - Todays challenge at Creative Card Crew is sponsored by Marianne Designs. If you have not heard of them, they are a fabulous die and stamp creator. I own only 1 of their dies, shown here, but I plan to buy a lot more of them soon. I like them a great deal.

Our challenge for this fortnight is.... Anything Goes!!!

For my card, I used a paper package that I have had for a while, but have only just rediscovered. It came with ribbon and stickers, the candy cane is one of the matching stickers. The paper is K and Company's Peppermint Twist.

My image is Mayzy Art. Mayzy is a new artist and her images are so urban, almost like Kenny K, but with a southwest kick to them. This image is Adeline with Penquins.

The snowflake was cut with my Cricut and I added glitter to the cut image. You know I have to have glitter somewhere on the card. LOL

Everything was inked with Worn Lipstick distress ink.

I added a die cut from our sponsor Marianne Designs. They have such awesome dies and I use this one quite a bit. I like to add gemstones to each of the leaves.

I finished the card off with 3 buttons.

Blue Snow

Blue Snow - Todays One Stop Craft Challenge is Monochromatic.

I used DCWV The Winter Wonder pack. I love the shades of blue in this pad. Some of the papers, such as the one that is the thin strip behind the bow, has glitter on them.

My image is by our sponsor Meljen. I colored it with Copics and added some Stickles.

Under the image, I used a piece of Cheese cloth. The wired bow was tied using a Bow Easy.

The flower is SB poinsettia die. I cut vellum with the dies, then shaped them with an embossing tool and a soft mat. I finished off the flower with a blue gemstone.

I dug out some snowflake eyelets. It has been forever since I have used eyelets. When I first started paper crafting I used them all the time, so I have plenty of them.

I hope you liked my card and will join in our monochromatic at One Stop Craft Challenge.

Under the Weather

Under the Weather - At Alphabet Challenge Blog, we are on U and U is for... Under the Weather, so a get well project.

I used a new paper pad that I just bought last week. It is MME, Reunion. It has the most delish teals and oranges. Such an unusual color combo, but I really like it.

The image is Sew Many Cards. Jaden was one of my favorite critters from them. Jaden was colored with Copics and Stickles was added to the mane, tail and Spots.

All of the papers were inked with Rusty Hinge distress inks. My sentiment and punches are SU.

I finished off the card with some tangerine baker's twine.

Snow Bells

Snow Bells - It is time for another challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity. This week the challenge is to include a musical element in your card or project.

My image is Crafty Sentiments.  After coloring with Copics, I added Stickles to the hatband and snow. The pom poms are flower centers and I added bell brads to the snowman's bell rope. I thought it would be fun to make them really jingle.

My papers were in my Christmas scrap drawer, so I have no idea which company they are from.

My image was cut with a SB and inked with barn door distress ink.

I hope you enjoyed my musical snowman and that you will join our challenge with your own sounds!
