Tulip

Tulip - Tulips are my favorite flowers, so I was very excited about coloring this little bunny image by Stamp Fairy. Isn't he adorable?

Our challenge this fortnight at Craft Your Days Away is..... Easter!!! A nice easy one for this time of year.

My designer paper is DCWV All Occasion stack. I love the bright spring colors in this stack paired with bright pink cardstock.
The flower is a trim that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. The leaf is a SB die.
My Stamp Fairy image is called bunny 1. Stamp Fairy has such cute images. The color up so quick and are such a joy to color with my Copic's. I cut the image with a SB using a cut off the die technique.

My felt butterfly was in with some stick pins from a stick pin swap that I was in.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Puddles

Puddles - Spring is in the air at Creative Card Challenge. our challenge this fortnight is Spring and we are sponsored by Stamp Fairy. Isn't their little Patsy just adorable splashing in the puddle? Adorable since she won't be tracking mud into my house. LOL

My DP is Painted Petal by DCWV. I love that they are bright and muted at the same time. The pad has yellows, greens, purples and blues. They are all very beautiful. I distressed all the papers with my TH distress tool.
My sentiment is a Studio G stamped with Concord Grapes distress ink. I used a portion of a SU Framelit die to get the shape. I thought the sentiment was just perfect for this splashin cutie.
My flower is made from mulberry paper and I got it from my friend at Pizzazz Aplenty. Judy's prices are unbelievable, so make sure you check her site out.

The leaves are the same DP cut with Spellbinders leaf die.
Stamp Fairy's Patsy was colored with Copics. I added Stickles to the umbrella, bow, collar and the ruffle under her raincoat.

Come splash in the puddles with us at Creative Card Crew and check our our sponsor Stamp Fairy.

Pink Wishes

For info on the vote for DT for Heartfelt Creations, please scroll down
Pink Wishes - It is time for another fun challenge at Alphabet Challenge Blog. We are up to D and D is for...... Dry Embossing.

I went out of my comfort zone on this one and dry embossed on printed paper. I must say that I like the result, so I am sure that I will try it again soon. My folder is CB's Victoria.

DP is Pressed Petals, Baby Girl. I paired the DP with a bright green. Pink and Green is one of my favorite color combo's, so I was happy to use it here.

My flowers and tulle with pearls are from the wedding section at Hobby Lobby. It is one of my favorite area's to shop from. Everything from that department is so elegant and it just dresses up my crafts. My ribbon is from Pizzazz Aplenty. They have such great prices and the rolls are huge. I usually pay more for a small than what I paid for this roll of 25 yards for.
My image is Glenda Saturated Canary. I won her in a challenge. Glenda is colored with Copic's, then cut with a Spellbinders. I dry embossed and inked with tea dye distress ink.

I gave her dress and wand tip a coat of Stickles. What is a fairy witch without sparkle?
My Sentiment is Hot Off the Press, punched with a pair of SU punches. I was enjoying dry imbossing so much that I even embossed the sentiment. I was concerned that it would distract from the the sentiment, but I am very happy with it.
Pull out those embossing folders and come join us at Alphabet Challenge Blog.

Semi-finalist for Heartfelt Creations

Semi-finalist - Wohooooo!!!!!!!! I made the semi-finalist for Heartfelt Creations and I need your help to make the team. Heartfelt Creations is having everyone vote and the ones with the most votes will get to be on their design team. So pleaseeeeeeeeeee vote for me, Mari Harpham. Their products are gorgeous and I so want a good excuse to play with them. This way I can tell my husband that I must make things and the dishes, wash, ect... can wait.

Now here is the good news for you! You too can play with their toys!!!! Everyone who votes is entered to win a $50 Heartfelt Creations gift certificate. You don't want to miss out on this. They have such pretty stuff, some of the best on the market.

These 3 projects are the ones that I submitted for the design team call. I really like them and I think they showcase my work well.

The first one is an image that I colored with Copics and the card was my husband's valentine card. I love coloring with Copics and actually the image was a homework assignment for an on-line class that I am taking.

My second project is a card that I made for a DT project. The challenge was vintage. I have had the supplies for a while and I was excited to get to use them. I love pink and this card was a really fun one for me to play with.
The final project that I submitted was the pin folder that I made for a stick pin swap. I have become addicted to making stick pins since doing a swap with them last year. This was the 2ND stick pin swap that I participated in and I definitely plan to join the next one as well.
For the swap we had to not only make the pins, but we had to "package" them as well. The theme for this swap was "love."
Not only did I enjoy making the pins, but you should see all the gorgeous stick pins that I received!
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my work and that you will vote for me, Mari Harpham. Remember that you can vote for 5. So please include me in your count.

I have some other fun projects that will be posting next week, so if you like what you see here, come back next week to see what I have been working on.

I can't wait to browse the blogs of the other semi-finalist. I am sure that I will find a lot of talent among my competition and that they are all well deserving of making the team, so please select the 4 of them plus me! Shameless plug for myself. LOL I really want to make the team.

Vote here for your chance to win the $50 HC gift certificate.

Super Girl

Super Girl - How super is she? This little darling is the work of My Grafico who is our sponsor this fortnight at Seems a Little Sketchy.

This is the the sketch for this challenge. I love the banner element in it. I flipped it upside down for my card.

The image is part of the set of Super Hero Girls. It is a good buy, as you get a lot of images to include 3 different super girls, a car and a spotlight, that reminds me of the one used to signel batman. This one I thought liiked like Wonder Woman.

I colored her with Copic's and added some Stickles to the stars, her emblem and her head piece.
My DP is Making Memories, Just Chill'in. I love the funky teal and orange together.
The flower it Petaloo with some Spellbinder cut leaves. This one looks almost like a coral from under the sea.
I used my salmon Viva Decor pearl pen to make the pearls.
eMy banner was cut from a scrap that had the banner already on it.
Come join us at Seems a Little Sketchy for this fun sketch challenge and check out our sponsor My Grafico.

I am entering this card in the following Challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks #81 Chicks Rule
The Play Date Cafe #123 Teal and Tangerine

Button Up

Button Up - Craft Your Days Away has a double difficult (for me) challenge. We were to make a masculine card/project with buttons. At first I was stumped, then I remembered this nifty shirt stamp that I bought at a stamping show last year.

My DP is Prima. I didn't even know they made paper, then I found this stack in a box. I think they were for children, but I really like the muted colors.
I ran forest moss distress ink over the embossing folder before I ran it through the Cuttlebug. With the buttons the paper strip looks like that strip that runs down the front of a shirt.

My sentiment is Hot off the Press stamped with mememto black ink. I inked all of my paper images with the moss distress ink. I used to of SU punches for the sentiment, then 2 brads.
The shirt stamp is by Too Much Fun. I stamped it on card stock that has a 2 sides, one darker than the other. I then cut and folded the shirt. I used a couple of Copic's to shade it.
My favorite part of the shirt is the tiny buttons that I attached to it.

My 7 year old grandson just told me that this is my best card yet. He is my biggest fan. Big hugs, Tyler!

Craft Your Days Away is sponsored by Crafty Emma's and I hope that you will make a mascule card with buttons and join us at Craft Your Days Away.

Grateful Vintage

Grateful Vintage - It is time for another challenge at Creative Card Crew. This time we want to see vintage and are sponsored by the fabulous Simon Says Stamp. The are the worlds largest on line crafting shop. Their prices are real good too! Check them out here.

For my card I used Tim Holtz Shabby Vintage DP. It is double sided, so I only had to cut one sheet of paper.Yea!!!!

My image is SU's Apothecary, which I stamp with Ranger's Victorian velvet distress inks. It was cut with SU Framelit, inked with Tea Dye distress ink. The sentiment is also from SU's Apothecary set, stamped in black Memento. I added some springtime Flower Soft on the center of some of the flowers, then added the 3 tiny pearls.

My butterfly I made use Rosetta trim, pearl strands, beads and wire. I love how it came out.
My velvet ribbon I got in a grab bag from Michael's. I tied the bow with my Bow Easy, then I added a stick pin that I made with supplies from Pizzazz Aplenty.
My bead branch was cut from a stem.

Luck O'

Luck O' - It is time for another challenge at Alphabet Challenge Blog. This fortnight we are on C - for Celebrate St Patrick's Day!

St Patrick's Day is just around corner. I hope none of you have your pincers out. LOL

For my card, I used a new designer paper pack by DCWV. It is called Painted Petals and it has the most yummy colors in it. I have used the green and yellow palette today. I love that the green has some blue-greens in it. I inked the edges with Iced Spruce distressed ink. It is difficult to see.

My image is Saturated Canary's, Nevaeh. Something about her pose made me think about an Irish river dancer. Nevaeh is colored with Copics and I added a tiny bit of Stickles to her dress to represent little beads that would catch the light as she danced. The image is cut and embossed with a Spellbinders.
My ribbon is from my stash, as is the shamrock. My sentiment is Paper Studio. If you are a follower of mine, then you know that I have really been into stick pins lately, so you will not be surprised that I have used another stick pin. I get a lot of my stick pin supplies from Judy at Pizzazz Aplenty. Judy is having knee replacement surgery and I hope everything went well for her. Her prices are unbelievable, so give her a little bit of time to heal, then shop her store! And of course, please join us at Alphabet Challenge Blog in our Celebration of St Patrick's day!

Sketchy Jaden

Sketchy Jaden - One project and two teams!!! Yep, today Seems a Little Sketchy and Sew Many Challenges teamed up to bring you 2 chances to win using 1 sketch.

We have 2 sponsors for this challenge, Sew Many Cards for both Sew Many Challenges and Seems a Little Sketchy and Pizzazz APlenty also for Seems a Little Sketchy.
Sew Many Cards has the most delightful images and Pizzazz Aplenty has supplies for bead making at the best prices around. She even ships internationally.

My image is Sew Many Card's, Jaden with butterfly. I have colored him several times, as he is a favorite on mine.

Here is the sketch. Isn't it lovely? Jen from Seems a Little Sketchy designs all of the sketches for Seems a Little Sketchy and she always does such a nice job.
For my card, I used Pressed Petals, Little Safari designer papers. My gemstone swirl is Want 2 Scrap.
Many of my stick pin beads are from Pizzazz Aplenty. I participated in a stick pin swap and I have become quite addicted to making them. And with the prices being so good at Pizzazz Aplenty, I can feed my addiction and my husband will testify that I do feed it quite frequently.

My ribbon is also from Pizzazz Aplenty. This shade is called goldenrod and I love the depth of the color

Tweet, Tweet

Tweet, Tweet - Mother's Day already, well actually they celebrate Mother's day early than we do in England. I am the lone Yank (LOL) on Craft Your Days Away, so it is time to do Mother's Day cards. Plus it is always good to be early on our card making.

My DP is Basic Gray's, Cappella. Everything was inked with Forest Moss distress inks. I had some brown lace in my stash, so used it.
My flower is a stem that I trimmed off a bush. I recently bought Spellbinders foliage dies and this was my first chance to use it. I love how it embosses. I recently did a pin swap and this was one of the pins that I made for the love theme swap. The bow was tied with a Bow Easy.
We are sponsored by Meljens and she provided us with this sweet little bird and cage. I colored it with Copics and Spica's. I added Stickles to the leaves and birds wing. The image is cut with Stampin Ups Framelits.

Thanks for stopping by and please visit Meljen our sponsor.
