Bunny Dance

Bunny Dance - This beautiful ballerina bunny image is by Michelle Perkett. I love Michelle's elegant swirly lines. She has lots of images, her most famous ones are of mermaids. So it you are looking for elegant, girlie images, Michelle's etsy shop is the place to look.

My DP is a la Carte by American Crafts. The flower is by Petaloo. The blue pearls are on a strand the was from the Seasonal Easter section at Hobby Lobby.

The image is colored with Copic's and I added Frosted Lace Stickles to the bunny's tutu and Icicle Stickles on her wings and in the center of the flower.

I am trying out for the Design Team at Craft Your Days Away and for that we were to make a card for this weeks challenge (Music & Dance) and also to include in the post a past work that shows our favorite past work.

The below card is one that I made last year, again using one of Michelle Perkett's lovely images. I used Rosie for this one.

Heaven Sent

Heaven Sent - the lady who was my contact in the building process of my new home is about to adopt a baby boy and this card is for her. She is so excited and some of you know that my oldest is adopted, so as you can see, I am a big supporter of adoption. Mandi is going to make a great mother and I am excited for her.

My DP is Nana's baby boy by Paper Petals. Distressed with Ranger's Broken China. The image is Sew Many Cards "Jaden looking at Butterfly." The challenge this week at Sew Many Challenges is Easel Cards. They are fun and very simple to do, but leave a big impact.

I hope all of you will try an easel card and join us at the challenge at Sew Many Challenges. You don't have to use a Sew Many Cards image, but we really like it when you do. Also Angela, the owner and artist, is trying to raise funds to take her son to the Mayo Clinic and all sales will help her to take him. You can read Stryder's store here. I colored the image with Copic's. The ribbon is American Crafts. The hat pin I made with some corsage pins and beads by Bead Treasures. It was simple to do and I love the results.

The flowers by Petaloo.

Speed Racer

Speed Racer - I have my DT card for Creative Card Crew. The challenge this week is child's play and our awesome sponsor this week is The Stamping Boutique. This image is the Stamping Boutique's "AJ the race car driver." I thought my grandson would enjoy a card made with this image.

My DP is by a new company for me, Adorn It! The paper is double sided, so I cut a strip off it and reversed it to get the contrasting DP. The ribbon is from my stash and I used 4 race flag brads to add some real metal to the card.

AJ is colored with Copics. I did not add any glitter this time. I didn't think my grandson would appreciate it if I girled it up.

I am also entering this in the following challenges.

Turquoise Love

Turquoise Love - My project today is a card made with Michelle Perkett's Amore Fairy. I have used her before and it is amazing how different she looks in different colors. I think she would make a pretty bride as well.

The challenge at Michelle Perkett's Studio is turquoise and brown. It is an easy challenge to do, so I hope you will join us. You will need to use one of Michelle's images for the challenge. She has lots to chose from in her shop. There are also lots of Freebie's on her group at PaperCraftPlanet.

For my card, I used Paper Adventures in Bluesy Shadow Wash DP. My brown card stock is cut with MS Gothic Arches punch. My ribbon is American Crafts. I found these flowers by petaloo at a clearance craft warehouse called Baskets Galore. It is where Hobby Lobby sends there merchandise that they can't sell in their regular stores. I had already colored the image and decided on my DP proir to going to the store. My ribbon also came from this store. I am thrilled with how well everything matched.

The image is colored with Copic's.

The image is Flying Girl by Michelle Perkett. All papers were from my scrap box (that is what is unpacked.LOL) I embossed with a swirl CB folder. Flying Girl was colored with Copic's and I added Stickles to the cupcake and the edges of the clouds. The background was also colored with Copic's.

Ribbon is Dashes, Dots and Checkers, that I tied with my Bow Easy. I used a pearl corsage pin.

Nectar - Today at Sew Many Challenges, the challenge is a sketch challenge.

I am using Sew Many Cards image of Helo the hummingbird. Humming birds are one of my favorite birds so I happy to have a chance to use Helo.

My DP is Just Chillin by Making Memories. The flowers, ribbon and brads are from my stash. I colored Helo with Copic's and I added Stickles to the flower to make it sparkle.

There is a Friday Freebie available today only here. I'm sorry, but with me just moving into my new house and my husband being home from Iraq for a 10 day R&R, I just have not had time to make a card with the Friday Freebie image. It is a really cute watering can with flowers in it. You can see what the rest of the team did with the image at the challenge blog.

We still have the ongoing fund raiser for the artist Angela to take her son to the Mayo clinic. She has designed a stamp just for this occasion. It is really cute and only $5 for the set of 3. All proceeds go to help fund the trip.

I hope that all of will join us at Sew Many Challenges in the sketch challenge. You don't have to use a Sew Many Cards image, but we are really happy when you do.

Angelica

Angelica - This is one of the many new digi stamps by Michelle Perkett. I love all of Michelle's images, but I must admit that at this moment, this is my favorite. I loved coloring her hair. It was so fun to just let go and go wild with the marker. I want to try sometime making all of the strands different colors.

This week's challenge at Michelle Perkett Studio is anything goes with a Michelle Perkett image. You can buy Angelica and her other stamps here. You can also find lots of Freebies at her group at Papercraftplanet.

For my card, I used DP from the Dollar Tree, Miss Elisabeth. The striped and MS punched DP was another sheet from the same paper pack as the Polka dotted. The flowers I cut off some stemmed flowers.

Angelica was colored with Copic's and I used some Waterfall Stickles on the starfish.

Vroom - A recipe challenge. Hi everyone. My card today is a new image by Angela at Sew Many Cards. This image she designed to help raise funds to take her little boy to the Mayo Clinic. You can read about his story and how you can help here. Stryders Jeep was so great to color. I can't wait for my grandson to see this card. He will love it. The DP is Boys Will Be Boys by ATD. The ribbon was from a by the yard spool at my local scrapbook store. I used a punch by EK for the tiny border and for the "flower" winner badge. I added 3 buttons.
Stryder's Jeep is colored with Copics and distressed with Tim Holtz disstress "soot" ink.

The challenge at Sew Many Challenges is a recipe - 2 DP - At least 1 flower - And At least 1 button. This is an easy challenge and I hope that you will join in our challenge. You don't have to use a Sew Many Cards image, but you can pick up the Friday Freebie here.

Rockin and Hoppin Down the Bunny Trail

Rockin and Hoppin Down the Bunny Trail - This sweet little guy/gal is "O Happy Day" by Michelle Perkett. His pose looked like a rocker to me, so I made him a rocker card. If you turn him, he will rock back and forth. All of the DP is from my stash, as I am still up to my eyeballs in boxes - but I did find my scrap paper drawers. The pearls are recollections. The sentiment is hand drawn. The grass was cut with my MS fringe scissors. The bow was tied with my bow easy. The bunny was colored with Copics and I added Cotton Candy Stickles. The challenge this week at Michelle Perkett Studio is Hopping Down the Bunny Trail. Michelle has lots of bunnies to chose from in her shop. For more Bunny goodness, there is a bunny hop on the 14th, so join us then on the bunny trail.

Mermaid For Mother

I am back!!!! I have finally moved into my new house and have internet again!!! Yea!!! I hope to get several cards finished and posted in the next few days. I will post photos of my new craft Studio soon. Right now it has boxes and unboxed supplies scattered everywhere; but soon it will be the work room that I have dreamed about.
Mermaid For Mother - This week at Michelle Perkett Studio the challenge this week is Mother's Day (UK.) I love Michelle's mermaids. They are so girly and perfect for any card for a woman. This image is called Tutti Frutti. and I thought it would be fun to color her in sherbet colors.

DP is Dear by DCWV. The tag and the flowers that spell out love were in the paper stack. I self ruffled the ribbon and I tied the bow using my bow easy. The little pearls are Dew Drops.

Tutti Frutti was colored with Copic's and I used several Spica pens for the shells and corals around her hips and hair. I loved coloring Tutti Fruti and you can find this image and more of Michelle's Mermaids Here.
