Disney 2012

Disney 2012 - Today's challenge at Creative Card Crew is Bling!!! We are sponsored by the Scrapping Center. They have an awesome array of crafty goodness.

For my bling project, I made a scrap book page. In October, we took our 5 grandchildren to Disney World. We had a wonderful time and now I will be spending the next 6 months scrap booking the amazing memories that we have.

My Fairy DP is Sandy Lions, Fairy Glow and Mickey Characters. The Tinkerbell was cut with my trusty Cricut machine and the Tinkerbell cartridge. I inked her with Tea Dye distress ink. I used yellow glitter paper for her dress (I bet you thought it was green,) and I added clear gemstones for the balls on her slippers.

I used more of the yellow glitter paper and the Disney font cartridge to cut the Disney logo and year.

How about this for Bling? I found this treasure at the scrap booking convention. It really sparkles in RL.

The page would not be complete with a photo of this cute little guy with his personal Tinkerbell in his hands. Disney had the kids hold out their hands, then added this special surprise. The kids were all thrilled when they looked at their picture and seen this. They took one of these for each of the 3 oldest boys.

Retro Superman

Retro Superman - Today is a new sketch challenge at Seems a Little Sketchy. Just take a look at the lovely sketch that Tess made for us this time around.

This fortnight, we have something extra going on. I uncovered some fun Superman tibits and shared them on the Seems a Little Sketchy challenge blog. If you can add an interesting tibit on your blog post, then you can enter your card a second time. Just add a * behind your name for the second entry and we will know to look for your tidbit.

We are sponsored by Kenny K Downloads and this is the image that sparked our Superhero interest.

I colored Superhero with Copics and then added some gears using a stamp from Hot Off the Press and some dark brown ink.

Copics used - R 37, 35, 32, 30 E 000, 00, 02, 89, 87, 84, 81 YR 24, Y21
My DP is Tim Holtz Retro paper pad.

I used another Hot off the Press stamp and embossed it. I added a little bit of Tea Dye distress ink on my papers and sentiment. My sentiment was punched with a SU punch and then used a matching metal plate with a couple of small brads. After all, Superman is the man of steel.

My star punch is MS.

Watering Can

Watering Can - It is time for a new challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge. The challenge this week is buttons and bows. I like this challenge.

My DP is K and Company, Nature. I really like the subtle butterflies in this paper. I finally used my SB basic Lattice die . I thought it was perfect for this garden theme card.

My image is Watering can Daisies by Pattie's Creations, who is our sponsor for this challenge. I colored it with Copics.

My bow was tied with my Bow Easy.

Under the Sea

Under the Sea - This week's challenge at Crafts 4 Eternity is to use 3 or more papers and the challenge at Alphabet Challenge Blog is F for fantasy.

Sassy Designs Studio is the sponsor for Crafts 4 Eternity and I thought it would be the perfect time to use this stunning mermaid by Sassy Designs Studio. Isn't she gorgeous?

I colored  Pirates Mermaid wiht Copics and added lots of Star Dust Stickles to her tail.

My papers are Pressed Petals, Baby Boy. I ran all of the papers through my Zutter Distrezz machine. It is such a quick way to add some oomph to your papers.

The whispy seagrass is SB. The smaller one is a glitter paper, but the sparkle is not showing up with the camera.

I finished off my card with 3 Dew Drops.

Shopping Our Stash #98 Bargain Bin-would you believe that I got the designer paper from Tuesday Morning, a bargain bin store. I love to rummage through their crafts. I have found lots of treasures there.

Here is our sketch. We have a simple one to work with this week.

My image is colored with Copics and I used Stickles on the snow flakes, hat trim on the smaller penquin and  around the image. I used flower soft on the snow at the bottom and on the bench.

My sentiment is SU and I used the ticket punch to punch it out with.

My bow was tied with my Bow Easy and I added a button and charm to bow. I also used some baker's twine.

Chalked

Chalked - The challenge this week at One Stop Craft Challenge is an easy one. No squares allowed. Now is the time to make those lovely circle and shaped cards, or you can use a rectangular one like I did. I remember when I first started card making, all of my cards were rectangular  the standard A2 size. Now most of my cards are 5.5 x 5.5. I needed a bigger surface to put all the lovely embellishments. LOL

This challenge is sponsored by The Cutting Cafe.

For my card, I used green card stock to mimic the chalkboard surface. I stamped my images with versamark and used white embossing powder. I doodled a little with a white colored pencil and rubbed some white ink to smudge the "chalk." It was great fun to play around with this technique.

I punched a butterfly with vellum and overlayed it on a stamped and embossed butterfly of the same size. I added 3 pearls to make the body of the butterfly.

Some bits of a doily and a ribbon bow finish off this card.

Flowers

Flowers - Here is my DT card for Crafts 4 Eternity. Our challenge is to use flowers on your creation.

DP is Recollections, Birds Nest and DCWV, Pocket Full of Posies

My image is by Designed to Delight. I colored with image a while back for a Copics class that I was taking. We were working on Copper and Tera Cotta. I think it looks more copper then tera Cotta. Maybe less shine next time.

My flowers are Petaloo and the swirls are Quik Kuts Dies

Tweet, Tweet

Tweet, Tweet - It is time for another challenge at Creative Card Crew and this fortnights challenge is Hand Made flowers. It is always so much fun to see what everyone does for this challenge. There are so many fun ways to make flowers and they are always so beautiful!

My DP is Prima's Madeline.

My image is Birdie Brown's dream-in.  I colored it with Copics. Can you see my hint of clouds in the background. They are really fun and easy to do.

Now for my handmade flowers. The brown one my dear crafting buddy, Milly made it for me. My wrist was injured in November and I have had my arm in a cast or brace since then, so Milly took pity on me. She punched the Crete paper with a circle punch and pinched and fanned the circle. She then dipped them in glass glitter and then added them together to create the flower. She added a pearl to the center with more glitter glass around it. But when I arrived home, some of the petal had fallen off and I had to re glue them in place, but I could not fit it back under the pearl as nicely, so I added the Fairy glass glitter over the center. That is my touch to the flower!

The teal flower is all my own. I used a SB die and then wet and cringled the layers. Once they were dry, I inked them with Peacock Feathers distress ink and added a brad with the fairy glitter glass.

My leave is another SB and I added 2 stick pins to the spray.

Night, Night

Night, Night - How sweet is this precious little guy by Mo's digital pencil?

My DP is MME Kaleidoscopic. I have had this pad in my stash for years. I drag it out about every 6 months and I still have a lot of it left.

Here is our sketch for Seems a Little Sketchy. We are sponsored by Whimsy Stamps.

My image is Mo's John. Isn't he adorable? I colored John with Copics.

I finished off my card with a bow.

Seems a Little Sketchy runs for 2 weeks and we don't get a lot of entries, so everyone has a good chance of winning. I know that I am always on the look out for sketch challenges that run for 2 weeks, to that I can get DT work done early and still have it count towards a sketch challenge; so we are perfect for that!

My image is Lily Bo Peep by Saturated Canary. I colored Lily with Copics and added Stickles to the bows and bodice of Lily's dress. I also added some Stickles to the band on her socks and her hair barrette.

The bow is seam binding that I dyed with Copic reinker. It was tied using my Bow Easy. The stick pin is made with several beads from my stash.

The ribbon rose is SU and I used my Worn Lipstick distress ink to add a bit of color to it.

Emerald Fairy

Emerald Fairy - Hello dear friends. I have my DT project for 2 teams.

The first is for Crafts 4 Eternity. Our challenge is Wonderful Wings and we are sponsored by Stamping All Day. The prize is 3 downloads.

My second team is Alphabet Challenge Blog. The challenge there is E for Emerald.

My DP is a digi download from Crafts and Me. It is Forest Fairy 25. These papers are just so enchanting. I bought them a while back, but had not used them until now. I think I just didn't want to cover them up. They are so beautiful.

The yellow circle DP is Heidi Swappe.

My image is Michelle Perkett. I love her images. I designed for her for a year before she closed her challenge team. I really miss coloring her images. You can still get her beautiful images here.

This image is Ashley the Autumn Sprite. I colored Ashley with Copics and added Stickles to the leaves and wings.

I have just recently found a combination for ethnic skin that I can do. It is E 37, 35, 33 and RV 13 for the cheeks. I can't tell you how many times I watched a tutorial using the high E 20's and could not get it to look decent. I am very happy with this color combo.

Teacup

Teacup - It is time for another sketch challenge at Sunday Sketch and Stamp. We are sponsored by Robyn's Fetish.

Here is our sketch. It is a perfect sketch for a double breasted card, so that is what I did. The lighter blue/green paper pulls out.

My flourish is SB. the ribbon roses are SU and I used my Bow Easy to tie the cream and pinkish/red bows. I used one of my Stick Pins from a Stick Pin swap that I participated in. I also used some ivory  lace.

My designer papers are MME Market Street. I am very fond of this paper pad and used almost half of it already. The papers were inked with Tea Dye distress ink.

The pull out piece was punched with a MS punch.

My image is one from our sponsor, Robyn's Fetish. I love this image. After coloring it with Copics, I used a rubber stamp that has cracked lines and stamped using Tea Dye distress inks to add the tiny cracks in the porcelain.

Cake Tower

Cake Tower - I have a birthday card for you today. This card is my DT card for One Stop Craft Challenge. Our challenge is Birthdays! We all need birthday cards in our stash; so this is a great challenge and I hope that you will play along with us.

My image is Digi Stamps 4 Joy, who is our sponsor for this challenge. Isn't it a lovely cake. It would be a great image for a wedding card as well. I colored the cake with Copic's and added Stickles to some of the trim and pearls on some of the rounded areas on the cake.

The sentiment is SU, as is the 2 punches that I used. I added a couple of pearls on the sentiment, as well.

My DP was a scrap and I don't know who the manufacturer is. The punch is MS.

I used some brown ribbon as well as a pink ruffly ribbon and finished off my card with some more pearls in 2 corners.
