Heels

Heels - Today is the debut of the new sketch challenge blog Seems a Little Sketchy. I am so excited to be on this team. The sketch's are designed by Jenn of Triple J designs and I must say that they are really cute.

Our first sketch is sponsored by Bugaboo stamps! Really cute images! Quick and easy to color, just what we need for this busy holiday season.

Without further ado, here is our first sketch and this is a fortnight challenge, which means you have 2 weeks to work with this sketch. How awesome is that!

For my card, I used DCWV All Dressed Up paper pad, a cuttlebug folder, a ribbon that was tied with my Bow easy and a gemstone. I also used black leaf ribbon.
My image is Bugaboo's Heels with big bow image. I colored it with Copic's and added Stickles to the bow.
My flower started as plain white card stock, that I stamped a scenic stamp on and worked in Spun Sugar distress inks. I then cut the flower layer's with a Spellbinders die. After cutting, I misted and scrunched my flowers. After they were dry I curved with a paintbrush handle. Then stacked and put a glittered brad through all the layers.

Make sure you check out the Seems a Little Sketchy site and join us for our sketch challenge!

India Tilda

India Tilda - Recently, I was visiting my daughter and she has a friend from India. While her Friend dresses in western ware, her friends mother was visiting from India and her mother wore the tradition India dress everyday. I think they are so pretty and I love the bright colors. She also wore the red dot on the forehead. I really enjoyed hearing about the different customs and traditions of her culture.

I had this stamp of Tilda before my visit and I had stamped it to take with me on my trip, so I really wanted to color it up when I got home. I didn't end up with enough time there. I went to help out with my new grandson. I was there for 2 weeks, but with a new baby and a 2 year old, I was very busy.

My card is my DT card for Craft Your Days Away. Our challenge this fortnight is button and bow and we are sponsored by Crafty Emma's.

For my card I used K & Company, Berry Sweet DP. My punch is a MS.

I colored my Magnolia image with Copic's and added Stickles to the rick rack on her top and skirt. I used spring Flower Soft on the spray flowers on her arm.

Round Up

Round Up - I have made this western themed card for this weeks challenge at Sew Many Challenges. Our challenge this week is to use twine on our projects. Well, twine just screams western to me. Do you see my little piece of twine wrapper around my sentiment?

Did you notice the spurs on my DP? It is Portobello Road by Recollections. I found this awesome pad a while back, but this is the first time that I have used it. It is all grays and browns; which is so nice for male cards. I distressed the edges with the distressing tool, then inked with Ranger's Gathered Twigs ink. The image is distressed with Fired Brick. My Sentiment is from The Paper Studio.
My image is from the Cowboy accessory pack by Sew Many Cards and colored with Copics.
My second card uses Sew Many Cards Christmas Letter image. It is a freebie! But it is available here only for a short time.
My 7 year old grandson made the DP. It is his real letter to Santa. We had been unable to get him to tell us what he wanted that was reasonable, then I thought to have him "help" me and it worked! Now I know what to get him!
This will be our last challenge of the year at Sew Many Challenges. We will return on January 6 all rested up!

Treasures

Treasures - Monochromatic is our challenge at Creative Card Crew this fortnight. I have used the Wise Men image from our sponsor Paper Pretties. They have such great images that it was hard to choose.

My DP is Hot Off The Press. It's an old Sarabook - Sapphire. What I love about the DP is that if you look closely at it, it has treasure written all over it. How cool is that with this image!

My punch is EK Success and I added a few gemstones to the lower left corner.

The image is colored with Copic's. It was fun to work with only one color family, then I added the gold to give it some pop. The sketched the rick-rack on the jug with a blue Spica pen.

I hoped you enjoyed seeing my card and I would love to see you join in our monochromatic challenge. It runs for 2 weeks, so you have a long time to get it in.

Carousel Steps

Carousel Steps - Today's challenge at Sew Many Challenges is stair step cards. This one is a side step card. If you don't know how to make one of these, there are some great tutorials on them. I went to many different ones; as I was making this card.

My DP is DCWV All Dressed Up. I love this color combo. The blue is such an awesome blue and I love the glitter in the paper. My sentiment is Hot Off the Press. I added 2 gemstones and two bows with pearls.
My image is Carousel Zee by Sew Many Cards. Angela is the creative artist behind Sew Many Cards. She has some really cute images.

Zee is colored with Copics and I added some Stickles to the canopy. The black swirls are a Studio G stamps and I used my black pearl pen by Viva Decor.
My second card uses the new dollar deal. This image of pies was so fun to color.

My DP is ARD All Through the Year. My punch is a MS. Stamp is Autumn Leaves and was cut with a Spell Binders.
I added some "sugar" to the top of the pies.

Adam Got Me!

Adam Got Me!! - My son, who lives in Alaska got me! LOL This blow-up Mickey has long been a standing joke in our family. When Adam was engaged to his now (what role did she have in this?) wife, they would often mention how tacky they thought these were. So guess what I gave them as a gift at their rehearsal dinner? They got married in June, 3 years ago, so you know I had long planned for that. LOL
They were visiting here from Alaska this week and I went out of town. Guess what I came home to in my front yard? Where are the culprits? Safely on a plane back to Alaska!!!!

Framed Sleigh

Framed Sleigh - This fortnights challenge at Craft Your Days Away is embellishment Bingo. We are sponsored by the awesome Simon Says Stamp. The have the most wonderful crafty stuff on their site.

Take a look at this fabulous Bingo Card. I went from top right diagonally down to the bottom left. I used pins, Flowers, and gems.
My card is a framed card. My talented friend Milly makes these cards all the time and I thought I would give it a whirl. I used the George cartridge to cut the center of the frame. My Santa's sleigh was cut with the Christmas cartridge and the building were cut with Winter Wonderland.

My DP is K and Company's Visions of Christmas. My flowers are Prima's. The white centers are pulled off a stem. My 2 year old grandson was very enthusiastic in his helping to pull apart the stems!
For my pin, I used a variety of Bead Gallery beads. The camera did not capture the beauty of the blue/green hue of the big, center bead. It is quite lovely and looks like frozen ice. The crystal corsage pins were on clearance at Walmart about 2 years ago. I wish I could find more of them. They are my favorites!

My gemstones are Darcie.

Grace's gift

Grace's Gift - Today I used Sew Many Cards Grace unwrapping Gift. This is a great image to have because she could also be used for a birthday or really any occasion .

Our challenge at Sew Many Challenges is to use Vellum. I love vellum, hardly ever use it. This green piece is one that I dug out of my green scrap drawer. Yes I have a draw for the scraps of several different colors. I have found this is the best system for me.

My DP came out of another of my Scrap drawers - the Christmas scrap paper drawer. I believe it is all Paper Studio. I inked all of the papers with Gathered Twigs distress inks. It is one of the limited editions Rangers inks.

I secured my Vellum with brads in each corner. Grace was colored with Copics. The flowers are Prima

Sew Many Cards dollar deal is this adorable bussel of apples. My DP is K and Company Allgancy. Image colored with Copics.

Thankful

Thankful - This fortnights challenge at Creative Card Crew is thankful. We are sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. They are one of my go to places for online craft supplies. They are the only place that I know of that still has Ranger's, limited edition, Autumn distress inks.

For my card, I used Basic Gray's Cappella paper pad. I used a MS punch for the border.
My flowers were made using Cricut's flower shoppe cartridge with a brad threaded through it. Stamp is Hot off the Press and heat embossed. I then cut if with a Spellbinders. Every thing was inked with Ranger's Walnut stain distress inks. I used WRMK baker's twine in cream soda. My flourish is Recollections.

Jammies

Jammies - Today is the new release blog hop at Sew Many Challenges. If you arrived here from Jamies blog, then you are on the right track. If you happened some other way, you can start the hop at Sew Many Challenges Blog.

You can win the entire new release plus a $15 store voucher, by leaving a comment on the store blog. And if we have more than 50 comments then we will give away a a second set of the new release. You can also win the image that I used by commenting here. So you have 3 chances to win!

Don't faint, but I actually did a page instead of a card. I won this great page kit at a scrapbooking retreat that I attended a year of two back and decided to finially use it. I love the pink and teal together for Christmas. The DP is Bo Bunny - A gift of love - Sweetie Pie Smooch. It had stickers to go with it, so I used those along with 2 tiny brads.

My image is Kiera with Candle. Kiera is one of the PJ Pals. Isn't she adorable? I like her jammies in teal. She is one of the new releases that you could win. If you can't wait and to own it right this minute, then you can purchase her at the store now.

My next project is a card. I used this month's Freebie for my Thanksgiving Card. You can get it at the last stop on the hop.

My DP is American Traditional Designs Recipe Time Fruit. My ribbon is MS. I used a variety of flowers and buttons.

I colored the Cornucopia with Copics and added some Stickles to the rim of the Cornucopia and some of the fruit. I cut the image with a Spellbinders and distressed it with one of Ranger's Autumn Seasonal distress inks. This one is gathered Twiggs. I love the color.

Leave me a comment then head over to Deanette's blog to continue the hop.
