Ribbon Rose

Ribbon Rose - I found a tutorail for this Rose made of ribbon and wanted to try it. I love the colors on this card. My bedroom was in this color combo when I was in high school. Most people thought it was to loud, but I loved it.

DP is K & Company, by Susan Winget. Punch is MS, as is the pearls. The ribbon is from Michael's. While it is not labeled as being recollection (Michael's brand of products) is is distributed by Michael's.

Green Christmas

Green Christmas - I am getting an early start on my Christmas cards this year by doing the year round Christmas challenges. Lots of challenges are doing green in honor of St Patrick's day, so I made my Christmas card monochromatic in green. The image is Michelle Perkett's Holly Fairy. I have used her lots of times, but I never tire of using her. I think she could be an early spring image too. The sentiments on her are good year round.

My DP is Me And My Big Ideas, Noel pad.
I colored Holly with Copics and then I loaded her up with goodies. I used a fine glitter for the snow on the branches, white flower soft for the fur on her gown and Stickles on the center of the flowers that tie her hair. I also used 6 olive colored gemstones on this card

I hand made the flowers. I cut them with my Cricut and hand formed them. I added a Lacey flower to the back and but some fine glitter on the petals.

First step

January page
Close up of lower page. This in no way close to done. I will add flowers and rhinestones and lots of other embellishments.

The start of February page.
This is the first step for the Birthday Card book that I am making. I am posting this for all of my friends that I will soon have to say good-bye to. We will be making this next Wednesday/Thursday with my various groups. Some were not able to come last week and I promised that I would post it here so that those ladies would know what I am talking about.
All of those of you who want to make this on Wednesday/Thursday should bring 13 sheets of 12 x 12 sheets of paper and whatever embellishments that you want to match your paper. You do not need the same paper or even the same color theme that I am using. The first one of these that I made, I did in animal prints; as it was a gift for my daughter, who was really into the animal prints at that time.
You can buy the 13 envelopes from me at what I paid for them. You can also buy the 2 book rings from me.

All Star Baseball

All Star Baseball - I offically am ready for spring and what better way then with a spring card. Today's challenge at Sew Many Challenges is stars, and what came to my mind was an all stars team.
My freinds at Sew Many Challenges are an all star team of card makers and I so appreicate working this group of talented ladies.
For my card I used Bear - Baseball by Sew Many Cards. This is a set that has some really cute little sayings such as the one that I used at the bottom of my card. This is a side view so that you can see the folds. Baseball Bear was colored with Copic's.

Cat and Mouse

Cat and Mouse - I have 2 card on this post for you and another that I will post later. Today Sew Many Challenges has a sponsor besides Sew Many Cards. The extra sponsor is Stamp and Create. So for this weeks challenge, you can win a double prize; a $10 gift certiciate from Sew Many Cards and 3 digi images from Stamp and Create.

Stamp and Create let us play with some of their images. I got to play with Wags and Whiskers Purfect Day. I colored Whiskers with Copics then framed it with a pre-done frame. I have had this frame in my stash forever and as we don't have a cat; I really did not have a use for it, so I was very happy to be able to use it.
I just added some buttons and some purple and blue eyelash yarn. On the card on the challenge blog, I replaced the button on the yarn bow with a star because in my glee to play with the image, I lost sight of the the fact what the challenge was to use a star.
My second card for this post is Sew Many Cards Friday Freebie. This week Angela made us the adorable image of Marvin the Mouse. I love his budgie belly, like he has been eating too much cheese.

For my cheese I took 2 different shades of yellow card stock and punched holes of different sizes in the lighter colored one and popped it up on the darker card stock. The flowers were a mixture of flowers from my stash.
The sentiment is a carry over form my daughter's teen years when she had her bedroom wall plastered with Got Milk? posters.

Mary Mary Blog Hop

Today is the Blog Hop for Michelle Perkett's Studio - If you arrived here from Andrea's blog then you are on the right path. If you are just starting, head over to Michelle's blog so that you don't miss anything.

We were all asked to use this image of Mary, Mary. Like all of Michelle's images, Mary, Mary is whimscal and beautiful. I love her hair. You can check out Michelle's beautiful digi images here.

DP is English Garden by Making Memories. I punched the vine with a MS double sided edge punch. The red flowers I have had in my stash for a while and the packaging has been gone for a long time, so brand unknown. I topped them with little gemstones. The little roses are Prima. I sprayed them with my Copic airbrush to get them blue.

Mary, Mary was colored with Copic's. I added some Stickles to the flowers in her hair and the flower on her watering can. I used the Sky Blue Copic Spica for the water pouring from the watering can. If you are not familiar with Spica pens, they are really fun. The have actual tiny little shards of glass that really make them sparkle when the light hits them. Don't worry, you will not be cut by the shards.
Now head on over to the very talented Claire to see what she did with this image. Claire's projects are always amazing. I have not seen Claire's project for this hop, but she always uses or does the most fabulous things with ribbon.

Bright and Soft flowers

Bright and Soft flowers - I created this card today. Would you believe that I did not use any DP? The DP looking paper is created using chalks and clear embossing powder. The stamp is Create Art. They are really cool stamps, as they are really big. Perfect for scrap book pages.

I cut my white cardstock with a Spellbinders Nestie and then embossed it with my Cuttlebug, Leaving the die cut in the Nestie, I used my Copic airbrush to littly color the die cut. I then stamped the same image in Dark Brown ink and added some Rapsberry Fizz fine Flowersoft.

Out Law/House

Out Law/House - I would like this little bandit to show up at my house and I would let him use the in-house!

This week the challenge at Sew Many Challenges is a sketch. It is a very easy sketch to use and I hope you will join us this week for the challenge. You don't have to use a Sew Many Cards image, but we really like it when you do!

This image is Donkey in Outhouse. I colored Donkey with Copics. DP is Sandy Lion. I used some green hemp and I star charm. I also used 4 tiny star brads.

Today is also Friday Freebie and you can scroll down to see my posting with the Friday Freebie. It is Olliver with a flower and it is really cute.
We have a blog hop coming up on the 4th of March and I hope you will stop by then and hop with us.

Who Thanks You?

Who Thanks You? Today's Friday Freebie at Sew Many Cards is this image of Olliver with a flower. Tulips are my favorite flower and I am anxious to see them bloom soon. But in the meantime, I can gaze upon Olliver! Olliver is free today and today only, so be sure to grab it while you can.

DP is a la Carte Baguette, by American Crafts. This DP is double sided with the solid blue as the back. It makes it very easy to coordinate. Ribbon is dots and dashes. Pearls are Recollections. Sentiment is Hot off the Press.

Image is Sew Many Cards, colored with Copics. I added some stardust Stickles to the tulip and leaves to give it some sparkle.

Playtime Friends

Playtime Friends - This image by Phindy reminds me of my grandson with his Friends. They know no boundaries, so if one has something that the other wants they just get it.

Jace has a play group the gets together often. There is only one little girl and all the rest are boys. She was always hugging and blowing kisses to the others when she was saying good-bye and now all the boys associate her with kissing and now they are all going up to her and kissing her. The moms are getting a little concerned that the boys are getting the idea that the way you play with girls is to kiss them. Giggle, giggle. They are all so cute together. Sorry, but you know how it is when a grandmother starts to talk about her grandchildren. LOL

This is my grandson and his play group at Halloween. My grandson is the adorable bee.

The challenge this week at Creative Card Crew is Friendship, and we are sponsored by the talented Phindy of Phindy's Place fame. Besides making delightful digi stamps, Phindy is an illustrator for children's books. If you are not familiar with her work, head over to her shop and check out her work. This image is called "Helping Hand."

I colored these delightful friends with Copics and used some of my new Polar White Flowersoft for the snow.

The DP is from a seasonal block. I used a MS punch for the snowflake border. I used some buttons and flowers to finish off this card.

Throne of Hearts

Throne of Hearts - Queen of Hearts is Michelle Perketts newest creation. Isn't she royal? I love her throne. It is so dignified, yet so pretty. When I became Queen of something this is the throne I want! The challenge this week at Michelle Perkett's Studio is anything with a Michelle Perkett image. I hope you will join us. Here is the link to Michelle's Etsy shop; or if you prefer you can join one of Michelle's groups and get some Freebies that way. Michelle designs some of the cutest mermaids around and I am sure that you can find something in her shop that will appeal to you.
I colored the Queen with Copics. The DP is Making Memories. The rosebuds I picked up at a local scrap booking store. The were loose stuck in a little tree, so brand name is unknown. The little gold squares I got at a going out of business store on line.

I tied two different size bows using my Bow Easy.

Enchanted Love

Enchanted Love - This image is Michelle Perkett's sale image of the week, and the subject of the Saturday Spotlight. This image blow me away when Michelle first revealed it to us. We have a member of our blog group who goes to dances all the time. I can just picture Elenor dancing the night away with this handsome fellow.

DP is from Target's Dollar Spot. Image is colored with Copics. I used just a tiny bit of Stickles on the leaves in their hair. Image was cut with my Spellbinders diecut. I distressed with Ranger ink, then image was blinged out with tiny amber colored gemstones.
The message is computer generated. I hand cut the banner.

Warm Hearts

Warm Hearts - The theme for this weeks challenge at Sew Many Challenges is Valentine. My image is called PJ Welcome Home. You can get this image and others by Sew Many Cards here. I am sure the fact that my son and his lovely wife will soon be moving to Alaska was some of the pull for to use this digi stamp today. I wonder if this is what their home will look like. Maybe if I tell them that, they won't go. LOL

PJ and Pinky look so happy in their little love nest. I colored them with Copics They unusual color for their cheeks was based on the below photo of Emperor penguins.
The DP is DCWV the Winter Wonder stack. I love this paper. As anyone who follows me probably knows, as I have used it a lot.

The hearts were cut with my Cricut and I hand wrote the sentiment. I used a pearl spray from the Wedding aisle at Hobby Lobby. The roses were also from the wedding aisle, but at Michael's. They were white and are officially the first thing that I used my new airbrush system. It was fun and very easy to do. The charm is a left over from my daughter's wedding invitations.

i hope you liked my cold weather valentine and will take a peek at the Sew Many Challenges site and see the valentines of the rest of the team. Also you still have time to snag the Friday Freebie, but hurry as it is available today only.

Rainbows and Storms

Rainbows and Storms - Like a lot of people, I have been weathered in and it was a wonderful time to look on the bright side of things. My bright side is lots of time to craft! Yea!!!

This image is the Friday Freebie at Sew Many Cards. The Freebie can be found here. Isn't it fun. It would be a great image for St Patricks day. The sentiment inside the rainbow is not part of the digi image. It is a stamp by Inkadinkadoo.

Dp is from a seasonal pad the Paper Studio. Ribbon is also a seasonal pack that has been in my stash for a while. 2 brads top off the ribbon. Image colored with Copic's. No glitter today . I thought the colors were bright and fun.

You can check out what some of my other team mates did with this image at Sew Many Challenges. You can find other images by this artist at Sew Many Cards.

Chocolate Kisses

Chocolate Kisses - This image by Michelle Perkett was designed for an on-line party at one of Michelle's groups. You can check the side bar at the challenge blog for information. We had such a wonderful time at the on-line party that lasted for an hour. We were given a challenge, which was to make a treat holder using one (or more) of Michelle's images in one 1 hour; and it that wasn't enough we had to games going on at the same time. It was a lot of fun. Another reason to pop over to the challenge blog is that today starts the new challenge of "Love Notes." This is my card for the challenge.

I colored the image with Copics. I only used 4 colors, so it is a great image for someone just starting their collectiong. I used E29,E25, E21 and B000. You can buy this image here.
The DP The Paper Studio. I used my hexagon Nesties. My long forgotten CB die cutter fancy corner die. 2 different types of heart gemstones and MS ribbon. I know thought that I would shred ribbon, but I had seen this techinque and wanted to try it. I like the way it came out.

Dark Waves

Dark Waves- I am showing Michelle Perkett's sale of the week image. This image is called Soulmates and is the first image by Michelle that I colored. I love how intently they are gazing into each others eye. My son hates this image, he thinks it is to risgy because they are embracing. He sighted that the male is bare chested. I don't see my son wearing a shirt at the pool. LOL

I colored the soulmates in neural with a little blue. I added some Stickles on the bubbles and the embellishment on each of the merpersons. I cute with card with with Wild Card cartridge with my Cricut. The water DP was cut with my Creative Memories circle cutter. The black flowers are a fun texture; as they are pressed nylon. They are called Blossoms by Creative Impressions.
Head over to Michelle's challenge blog to see what others on the DT did with this gorgeous image and you can get this image and more of Michelle's delight images here.

Winter Nights

Winter Nights - I write this in the middle of a cold snap with my toes so cold in my house with socks and slippers on. BRRRRRR I can relate to this fellow. This week the challenge at Sew Many Challenges is everyone's favorite - anything goes!! This image is called Oliver. I love how cold he looks even in his hat and scarf. You can get him at Sew Many Cards.
I colored Oliver in Copic's. I used my colorless blender to create the spots on his chest. I used 3 different colors of Distress inks to edge the image - Broken China, Blue Jeans, and Concord Grape. I used some Judikins Diamond glaze to make the icycles and the snow is made with my snow writer. DP is unknown. I embossed the "trees" with a CB folderI added a moon gemstone and some eyelash yarn in the crease of the card.
