Chalked

Chalked - The challenge this week at One Stop Craft Challenge is an easy one. No squares allowed. Now is the time to make those lovely circle and shaped cards, or you can use a rectangular one like I did. I remember when I first started card making, all of my cards were rectangular  the standard A2 size. Now most of my cards are 5.5 x 5.5. I needed a bigger surface to put all the lovely embellishments. LOL

This challenge is sponsored by The Cutting Cafe.

For my card, I used green card stock to mimic the chalkboard surface. I stamped my images with versamark and used white embossing powder. I doodled a little with a white colored pencil and rubbed some white ink to smudge the "chalk." It was great fun to play around with this technique.

I punched a butterfly with vellum and overlayed it on a stamped and embossed butterfly of the same size. I added 3 pearls to make the body of the butterfly.

Some bits of a doily and a ribbon bow finish off this card.
