Weaved

Weaved - This is the thank you card that I made for my MIL. She really enjoys getting a written note card and I really appreciate her Christmas gift.

I managed to make this a twofer card. I was able to hit to design teams with one card!!! First up is Crafts 4 Eternity. We are sponsored by Stamping All Day. Our challenge is something new. My something new is a new technique! I did a weaved paper that I found a tutorial on at Split Coast Stampers.

My second design team is Alphabet Challenge Blog. Our challenge there is X Marks the Spot - Spots and Stripes. All of the papers in the weave have either spots or stripes in them. The weave pattern is also a stripe and I used CB tiny bubbles to add spots to my background paper.

My DP are MME Laundry Line. I love this stack. Sadly, this stack sits at the back of my drawer and does not get played with as much as it should.

After weaving the papers, I cut it with a SU die. I did ink with a little bit of Tea Dye around the edges to shadow it a bit. I used the paper piercing pattern to pierce around the edge on the brown CS.

My rose is Recollections. The stick pin I made using several different beads. I get a lot of my beading supplies from Judy at Pizzazz Aplenty. She has such great prices and even ships overseas.

The double bow was tied with my Bow Easy.

I finished this card off with some lace.

My sentiment is Hot Off the Press and both of the punches are SU.

I hope you will join us in our challenge for both of my teams. Can you find a way to combine and enter both?
